Giving Luis the second place was abrilliantobvious move in trying to deflect any suspicion.
I doubt they needed to fix it even if some voted for Bale as young player only. He has been amazing at times this season (it's not like when Giggs got it) even though I think any fairminded person would say Suárez has been better and more consistent. So he'd have got plenty of votes anyway.
And the booing shows Suárez polarises opinion and I suspect the biting is not the major reason a lot of players dislike him. So even if they privately know Suárez has been the better player, Bale would have got many of their votes too.
That all adds up to a clear victory for Bale I'd have thought..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Showing that tonight on SS I think...........can't be arsed myself, but I suspect some would look forward to seeing not just the booing of a player they supposedly represent, but also some marvelous selective racist jokes as an interlude."I will make the boys feel your support"

Well, he's black for a start.
They should've known what they were getting with Hunter, and they should've known there'd be predictable outrage afterwards. Naive on the part of whoever booked him - it leaves the PFA open to accusations of hypocrisy. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Knowing his material, his booking just seems totally inappropriate considering the season we've just had. He's a **** comic anyway and consistently falls back on his colour to gain laughs. I can't really see at what point the FA thought he'd be the right act to book, and as you say, they should've known what they were going to get. If they specifically wanted a Black comedian, for whatever reason, they should've booked Stephen K Amos who is a million times funnierOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostWell, he's black for a start.
