He's a world class talent who was never properly appreciated and the league will be a lot worse off for his absence.

I think a part of him will enjoy sticking two fingers up at the media who have been (rightly) lamenting the deteriorating state of the Premier League and yet have had an agenda against a world class talent in Suarez. "You want top players in your league, well **** you, I'm off. How d'you like them apples? " - that sort of thing. And I don't blame him either.

Remember when that cunt James Lawton said Suarez came off the bench at Mansfield, pre-handball, with "diabolical intent".

I mean for ****'s sake. That is a cast-iron example of some of the **** he had to deal with. I always suspected he didn't give a **** but maybe it took its toll.

To be fair bigger talents than him have left this country for the same reason. And not just in football. I don't think the media will care much.

Plenty of current and rising stars still here to focus on. Mourinho's back too.

The other thing, about him not being able to go out to his garden is laughable. His house has a 15ft high wall with huge gates on the front of it. The road itself is narrow, so there isn't even room for throngs of paparazzi to gather around - its a really old, thin street that is nearly single carriageway. The house backs out on to other massive houses with large grounds - the only way they're peering in is if they are putting ladders up on his walls. I'm up and down there a fair bit - not once have I seen people milling about outside.

I remember when Gerrard handed a transfer request in. We all forgave him.

                  Luis will stay.

I don't think there were allusions of him being followed/harrassed by fans, but by paparazzis, which is a totally different thing and perfectly believable.

When he said garden I think he meant the park, where I assume he takes his daughter. Conveniently lost in translation by the media I would say.

I can't be bothered with transfer sagas. Torres and Gerrard were enough. I was even bored about hearing Arsenal's annual "Vieira / Anelka / Henry are leaving!" dramas

Gerrard had a tie to Liverpool, Suarez and Torres don't. The worst thing about all of this is that every big name striker that has left in recent history has seen a successor ready to take over, other than the Owen / Torres gap, but even then, Cisse was signed and there was a hope for his potential as a replacement. We just didn't know how bad he was going to be. Liverpool don't have that this time.

                          Rush - Aldridge
                          Aldridge - Rush
                          Rush - Fowler
                          Fowler - Owen

Owen - GAP (Baros / Cisse / Crouch / Bellamy)

                          Torres - Suarez
                          Suarez - Sturridge?

The last one is a bit of a worry given that we don't know about his fitness yet.

Again though, nonsense. He was in Camp Hill making a snowman last winter, for example, and the first anyone knew about it was when he got back home and tweeted the picture.

Camp Hill was heaving with sledgers those days.

I think Sturridge is too inconsistent to replace Suarez. Similar to Defoe at Spurs he scores his goals in spells.

We need another Striker who can consistently pop up with a goal, Borini isn't ready for that yet IMO.

OK, but I think he is talking about events after the 'bite'.
