Each case should be judged on its merits really. Luis is an exceptional case due to his history over the last 2 years. If his stance is loyalty bonus related, quite frankly he's taking the piss.
If Carroll refuses to go due to wanting a loyalty bonus then I'd probably have a bit more sympathy towards him as it's the club wanting him out

Agree with Mostar that we cannot under any circumstances let this drag out for any reason. Also, I would never take Robben. Cut inside, shoot ad infinitum. He is fast as **** though, but not what we need out wide as he is an absolute black hole-- ball goes in, never comes out.Originally posted by Sarb View PostThis will just leave a bitter taste, especially if it drags on"Our legacy begets an excellence that surpasses the particulars of who produces it." -- David Carr

Hmmmm 1x 32 year old City reject? The rest is media frenzy.Originally posted by fidget View PostI can see Luis staying - especially if we carry on strengthening the squad at such a spectacular rate. Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.

...is why I think he'll be here another year. Can't see another club paying £50mil-ish and then another 7 or 8 million on top to cover for Saurez's 'loyalty' to a club they're buying him from.Originally posted by Sarb View PostRory Smith hinting that Suarez wants out but won't ask for move due to wanting a loyalty bonus. Oh the irony
He's never made it easy for himself ol' Suarez, and he certainly won't this summer. So lets have those lineups with Suarez in for next season.
One tit for another.
