Imo it'd be an absolute insanity to sell him to Gooners even if they are willing to pay 50m.

Sounds like we're giving him the choice of either:

a) Signing a new contract allowing him to **** off after a year if we're not in the CL.
b) Forcing him to see out the remainder of his current contract.
