It makes no sense from that perspective.
    my point exactly

The bottom line though is Arsenal are in the CL and we are not and potentially they can pay higher wages.

One thing for sure is Suarez' excuse of 'the press driving me away' was pure bull****.

Rory Smith makes some interesting points, but he falls into the trap that most football fans fall into. Why should the employee of a football club be expected to behave in a moral superior manner to an employee of any other company?

Why should there be loyalty? It's not how the world works, so deal with it and make the most of it.

He's going to force his way out. These comments on loyalty etc from Rodgers aren't going to work on Suarez. Especially if he's already been taking legal advice on his clause.
And there lies the contradiction in your argument. He is actually clever enough to engage experts in their field to bring about the best outcome for himself.
          Oh I don't know.

            I guess that's because he is a diving/racist/cheating/cannibal/judas *******

I just can't see him wanting to go to Arsenal either, he is surely looking to use them as leverage. I'm bored if it all now, if he is going- he should just **** off - and if he is staying then he should come out and say so...

I'd almost rather watch the 24 hour Royal baby coverage than this.

            Almost

I don't think Suarez gives a **** about our world wide fan base or our history.
I don't think the YNWA sung by 95,000 fans had the slightest effect on him.
Makes me a little angry that Kenny and the club defended him to the hilt, a little loyalty wouldn't have gone amiss.

I didn't watch the game but just seen Aspas's goal and Suarez's body language looked like a man that just doesn't want to be there.

Shame because I felt that once he was back within the squad, he may have had a change of heart.

Conspiracy theorist in me is wondering if Arsenal feel threatened by us again and forcing Suarez out of our team, whether to them or not, will strengthen their position either way.

Seems a ****ty thing to do from a club steeped in selling history.

Stumbling block with Arsenal will be the wages.

He has a team of advisors, as with all footballers.

Footballers don't operate in anywhere close to the same environment or under the same conditions we do. Huge sums of money are paid for them to go and give service for a set contract period. We don't get sold or purchased for millions. We don't get signing-on fees etc, so how can both be compared?

And frankly, he'd be better served handing in a transfer request now that the clause has been met if he wants out rather than seek legal advice. It's ****ing laughable that he thinks he deserves a loyalty bonus too.

Well I have never had any loyalty to any employer and have seeked to maximise the income I receive, and what is owed to me.

The sums we are talking about are irrelevant. The principle is identical.
