lets say Suarez signs for arsenal - which of these two scenarios is most likely to happen.
Suarez plays every game, scores 13 goals in the champions league and Arsenal win the competition.
In Arsenal's group, they draw someone like Njordlasnnsd - So suarez is rested for the home and away ties. Arsenal qualify for the 2nd round but get beaten.....So in total, Suarez plays 6 games next season in the Champions League.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

100%Originally posted by tee View Postwhy do we keep getting these stupid comparisons with joe public who works for a company. It is a different case and scenario altogether and there is no comparison with people who are employed by companies.
Suarez wanting to move is very different to you or me moving jobs. He is in the professional sports industry that is in the spotlight of the media 24/7. He is paid an absolute fortune to do something 99% of us would dream of doing. He has thousands of adoring fans who pay money to watch and follow him every week. A sporting icon worldwide.
Massive difference to you and me mate. :d and liverpool fc has stood by him through thick and thick, backing him to the hilt for his every transgression.
Whether you agree or not he owes this club big time and his current actions are really making him out to be a right spoilt selfish ******* and if the club wilts and lets him have his way it will be very disappointing. If he leaves it must only be on the best terms for this club, that is all i care about now.

i don't - i think the whole think has been engineered by Suarez/Agent/RealOriginally posted by kingfunk View PostHe will go to Real Madrid for 50m in the next 7-10 days.
kick up a fuss, put liverpool in a position where they just want you gone
then on the table
there is £50m from Arsenal - who liverpool really don't want to sell too and you don't really want to sign for
or
£40m from Real Madrid - so less than LFC wanted but probably lesser of two evils and worth the £10m sacrifice.
Me personally, i'd rather see him going to Real Madrid for £40m than Arsenal for £50m - **** the extra £10M -

Personally I think that Suarez will go and that the club need to assume this is the case. In which case the club need to set a figure in their minds slightly below what we believe we will receive for him and start investing in new players with that amount of cash. Hopefully FSG will see this as some sort of short term loan. Then financially the worse case scenario is that Suarez stays and helps us push for the CL - but as it is World Cup Year if he did stay (very unlikely) he would probably have a good season and WC and then have many more suitors next summer. I think he will definitely leave then anyway and the income from his sale will easily balance the books and ensure that this summer we have time and cash to replace him.
Also, if he does go to Arsenal, I think it is crucial to insert a clause where we get a percentage of any future sale as it is pretty obvious that he would **** off from North London to Spain if he is given the opportunity next summer - which is pretty likely. Whatever happens though, I believe that he will be playing in the PL for only one more season. Arsenal are **** in the CL so Suarez has a ready made excuse (plus English media) to leave next summer.

fair enoughOriginally posted by spider-neil View PostWith all due respect, when Suarez leaves I don't give a **** what he does.

- it was just a comment that was aimed at all the people on here/in the pub/twitter/radio/tv etc saying "he wants to play for a Champions League side"
i just find it bizarre that he's that desperate to play in the champions league, even if it was just half a dozen games, that he'd sign for Arsenal
if the champions league meant so much to him, why did he leave Ajaxi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

If Liverpool refuse he will be lucky to have his case, and any appeal by him or us, heard before the end of January so could be stuck here for another year anyway. If he has competent advisors he would be better served to be told to go quietly or accept an extra year with a revised contract guaranteeing him a reasonable exit clause next yearOriginally posted by spider-neil View PostIf Liverpool stand firm on the fee and it looks like the deal is falling through I don't think refusing to play or taking Liverpool to court is beneath Suarez.Football without Origi is nothing

if the champions league meant so much to him, why did he leave Ajax
because he dreamt of playing for liverpoolarsenal when growing up
