Hopefully we can stand our ground like the Mancs did with us over Heinze and he can ****ing do what he's told.
    Yeah, but so does Suarez

I would love to see us make a stand here but I can't see it.

The Premier LEague will not be in a position to make a legally enforceable decision on employment contract law, surely?

Journos are so desperate to see the club pushed into a corner and look the **** they'll print anything.

They are making out the PL can arbitrate ie solve a conflict. But this is contractual. Liverpool should have no incentive to allow the fools at PL to adjudicate. Tell Suarez to go to a tribunal. That will take ages. This is an employment contract issue. The only reason we should go to the PL is to report Arsenal

I seriously hope we take a firm stance. Henry's tweet gave me some faith

As long as we have the contract watertight. Ayre and the lawyers need to be all over it.

Does anyone reckon we'll complain about Arsenals bid?

Wonder if we still have a good relationship with Pere the snake? Didnt he tell Sky after Suarez quotes in Uruguay that Luis was happy at LFC?

Rodgers said they only have to iform Suarez of the bid. That coupled with JWH tweet is giving me confidence that we hold the upper hand. Would be hugely embarssing if we were wrong now. Hugely

There is absolutely no quotes from that Independent article. All clutching at straws, body language etc ... ****'s sake.
                        Are we winning?

TBF, this is a bit of a misnomer. People always say it and while the whole no quotes or even using the vague "a well-placed source said..." gives scope for total BS, journalists get told stuff off the record all the time. Suarez's camp will want this stuff known so they'll feed the press with off-the-record briefings. Not saying this report is true but it'd be folly to totally disregard it. FWIW it seems clear to me that this is his stance and it's going to get ugly.

imo. Someone has been feeding them a trickle for a while now, making sure certain snippits of info are in the public domain.

The club have been rather coy, maybe they aren't 100% confident. A simple 'we won't sell him to a PL club' could have made things simpler all round, if they are that simple.
