A long shot and highly unlikely but I would love us to bring in Didier Drogba for the season. Could work wonders for us I reckon.

How on earth do you think we'll get anywhere near that? He's a liability on and off the pitch. The offers will come in for sure, but they'll be nearer 30m now. Can we afford to let him rot?Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostIf we get £50m+ (which we should) then surely it would be better spent improving two or three areas of the first team rather than seeking a direct replacement?Always borrow money from a pessimist. That's assuming only one club are interested in buying him, I find that difficult to accept. If a footballer with Suarez's ability becomes available then clubs will be interested. I think other clubs will have been watching and waiting.Originally posted by Jaymo View PostWe definitely won't get anywhere near £50 million now. We just have to put our foot down, dig our heels in. If Luis wants to play hardball, Ayre and the board have to grow a set and smash that hardball back into Luis' court.

Because one club have offered £40m for him and we've rejected their offer. He's now on the market for £40m+ and being one of the best footballers around there will be interest in purchasing him.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostHow on earth do you think we'll get anywhere near that? If he goes abroad it will be alright, but if he ends up at Arsenal...lord have mercy on the mods...they are going to be busy.
