If he is desperate to leave. He only has to do one thing. Put in a transfer request, he does not want to do this because he will miss out on several million pounds. This is the reason he is trying to engineer a move, rather than outright ask for it

Rodgers, Ayre and FSG are aware of this and are playing the situation impeccably. He is our player. He is under contract. If he wants to move for footballing reasons. Then put in writing and lose the cash windfall

Arn, you really are a numpty. Your hate for the people in charge of or club is almost unhealthy, you are completely unbalanced and biased in your rhetoric. All because your hero was not reappointed. I'm sick of reading your drivel on here and going from the reactions you receive from others I'm not the only one. I even question if you are actually a fan, or just a WUM.

If he is telling the truth and can back it up, then it would be almost impossible for us to sign a top class player or even try to negotiate with them if they can't trust Rodgers and Ayre.

I do wonder what the players think if Suarez can back up what he says?

Again, I will wait and see what the PL and maybe even a court say about it.
'Terms of the contract' or 'gentleman's agreement', which is it?

But even if he did you'd probably come up with:
"The FA is biased against him"

"Xenephobia of the British court system"

          etc etc.

It's pretty much pointless discussing it further with you as you're not going to move on regardless of what evidence you're presented with.
I wouldn't come up with that. I have seen no evidence yet and you or anyone else hasn't seen any evidence.

I doubt that he would have said what he said if he can't back it up but that is my opinion.

I will move on when I know more facts. Then I will know who to blame. I'm even blamed for not making a decision of who to blame. That is just silly.

I don't blame the club or the player yet. It is still wait and see for me.

The thing is that he's out for the first 6 games anyway. There may not even be a place for him in the team for him by then....

He's got himself into a corner and as I see it he's got one way out, man up and put in a transfer request. The rest of what has gone on is absolute nonsense that only occurs in the mad world of football. I genuinely feel sorry for him. To be where he is in life and behaving like he is, nothing can have much meaning.

Arn, enough of the paranoia about what the players think of the people that pay their wages. It's all in their contracts, most people are capable of putting up with people that they don't like, often for years on end (often with a whole lot more contact time that footballers have with their bosses). Perhaps we should give Luis a zero hours contract, then he would have something to complain about.

Rodgers, Ayre and Henry have stood firm on this issue since day one. I still don't think we'll sell for any less than what we want (probably £50million). It's time to dig our heels in.

I'd rather force him to stay and keep him in the reserves than sell him to Arsenal. There's no point us selling him to those ******s late in the window and leaving us **** all time to spend the dough. If no-one else comes in for him, keep him, let him rot.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'm torn on this - we need to make sure that if we sell we can use the money to improve the squad as much as possible. We saw last summer that negotiations can drag on and we've seen previously that rushing deals often ends up in over payment.

I have always thought that ~£45m was probably what we would get. If we can get Arsenal to up their bid any significant amount we probably have to swallow our pride and take it now. Perhaps after trying to tempt Real into bidding.

No. Just no. Without Arsenal we wouldn't be going through this ****e, they have been, imo, very underhand with all this, using info given to them by someone related to the Suarez camp.

I wouldn't sell to them for all the money in the world.

I agree with all of that.

I'm just thinking that if we sell for less than what Rodgers discussed regarding Cavani and Bale (in relation to market value), then it'd open up a can of worms. Players wanting to leave us just blag and say that they want to go, hand in a transfer request, and we let them leave.

It'd be nice to think we wouldn't sell up for £40m and dig in for what we want for him (we probably would take £45m, but I'd rather it was Real than Arsenal.).

Totally agree. At least if we don't sell to them, we don't strengthen them so give ourselves a better chance of 4th.

A good World Cup for him in South America and we'd get more money for him than this moment in time, so we wouldn't be taking much of a hit in wages.

We've got a better chance of Top 4 football if we keep Suarez then if we sell him to Arsenal and fail to get anyone in to replace him.

Club seems to be standing firm on this, hopefully that continues.

Id rather sell him to Real for £20m than Arsenal for £50m. Its not about the money in that respect is it? We would be weakening ourselves and at the same time strengthening our competitors. Champions League has to be worth more than the difference.
