No it wasn't. Maddock is a cunt but Maddock said that Suarez was found by the FA to have been inconsistent.

He did not say that Suarez WAS inconsistent. He said the FA found him to be. And that's a fact.

Maddock has the ear of the current regime though. Wonder if he's relaying some of their thoughts too. As does Dom King

        1 league cup. Lol.

We've both won **** all of note in a damn long time. Far too long for both clubs. Not that I'm feeling very sorry for gooners atm.

But for either side to start spouting trophy wins as an excuse to anything is a bit embarrassing.

I seriously can't stand Arsenal. Was saying all season I didn't want them to finish 4th. I think Shaggy and Tee wanted them to though. I bet they regret that now

My brother-in-law was up on the weekend. He's always been pretty outspoken on Suarez though, every name under the sun, cheat etc. (That didn't really bother me as much as him saying Gerrard dived to win the Pen in Istanbul and we won by cheating). He loves Suarez now.
They play in the CL every season.
If FFP comes into play then they are probably the second richest club on the planet. Man U being the richest one.
          They play in London.
They have an excellent manager. He moans a lot and is a bit blind but he is still excellent.
He got a history of getting the best out of his players.

No, I'm not supporting Arsenal. I just try to see why he want to move to them.

Guys you are all missing the point quite spectacularly....for Arsenal 4th place is winning a trophy so we are way behind. Plus, how many Emirates Cups have they won?

Have Bayern brought in a striker? I know they were interested in Lewendawski but don't know if it happened or not
So far, Guardiola has basically being playing without a striker. He's been using Muller as the most advanced man but it is a very fluid formation.

I doubt he wants a striker.

What a sad state of affairs. Emotionally speaking, you just can't afford to idolise players these days, can you? It could well be Coutinho that's agitating for a move next year. Ultimately, 99% of these players have no real affinity for the club. They say they do, but measured against their own ambition there's only going to be one winner.

If there's a positive to be taken from this, it that it should help us appreciate just how lucky we are to have had a player like Steven Gerrard these past 15 years. To sacrifice personal glory for the good of the team he loves. You've got to hand it to the guy. A true legend.

Right now, I would hope that the club are contacting all the big sides in Europe to see if a deal can be struck - including the possibility of swap deals. While Bayern might not have the cash to bid, I'd take Shaqiri, Gustavo and £15 mil (enough for a central defender). I'd definitely be looking for something along those lines with various clubs, because we really shouldn't sell to Arsenal... and I don't think we will. It would cast the club, Henry, and Rodgers in a very poor light given their strong statements on this to date.

If a deal can't be agreed then we need to make an example of him and hold firm. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but as others have pointed out, Tevez, Modric and Rooney have come back from this sort of thing in the past.

I think the most frustrating thing is that it feels as though we're constantly taking one step forward, one step back - and that step feels like two steps back because our rivals are strengthening around us. If we could just keep Luis and sign another top forward, we'd stand a genuine chance of top 4 this season.

It's also worth noting that next summer would be the perfect time to sell Suarez. I reckon Uruguay will do well in the world cup, and I could easily see one of the oil rich clubs splashing £50 - 60 million on him.

I kinda agree with that bit in bold. I have not felt any emotional connection with any footballer since Torres, and I think it's pretty unlikely that I ever will again.
                        Oh I don't know.

Arn, that is not even relevant to what I said. But well done on the Arsenal love-in. You're a lot more positive about them than you are about Liverpool

Have to admit I was the same but the whole Evra saga made me defensive of Luis the cunt, and led to another emotional connection. FFS. How I regret that stance now.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
