Henry might have but if we are sticking to FFP we might not...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Nice bet. I'm happy to hold both of your stakes in my account until the bet is settled

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Because it seems that no-one gives a **** about tapping up any more, it clearly goes on all the time, but I can only think of a couple of times where action has been taken against the club involved. I think we should look to take action against Arsenal and Suarez' agent (as presumably he is the one who leaked details).

I remember someone offered me a bet because they were adamant Suarez wasn't angling for a move and those quotes from Uruguay were made up/misrepresented. Involved one of us leaving the forum. Can't remember who it was now

                Probably Fredo.

Anyway that's irrelevant. What I was saying was I think your worst fears are unfounded.

Only if they are players we are interested in anyway, I'd rather just have the money than take someone like Nunez again.

You remember wrong. The bet was if he was still here at the end of his ban he wouldn't be going on strike, and I still don't think he will as he can only lose from it

Odds are stacked heavily in your favour on that bet. He could go for anywhere under £30m or over £30m and you'd win. Make a realistic bet. Oh and a realistic stake

..was thinking more of an (unlikely) swap for Muller/Benzema/Morata/Mandžukić

                            I don't bet.

But I can't see the club selling him for less than £40m and I think he'll go for more if he's sold to either of the two clubs mentioned (or probably anyone else either).
