I think he knows it's all pretty pointless now and he'll just keep quiet.

Funny that a modern footballer like Cavani is asking Brendan to show some loyalty. This is the guy who was going to strike if Napoli didn't agree to sell him this summer.

I was surprised to read that Di Maria is only 25. I think we'd probably sell Luis to Madrid for £25m + Morata

I'd be really surprised if any Madrid player was willing to take 4 steps down

people have been saying he's a raw talent for the past 4 or 5 years now. Has to be one of the most frustrating players to watch.. can only imagine what it's like to play with him.

I hope Cross is right in one respect that Wenger still thinks he can sign him and doesn't have any form of contingency plan. He'll get slaughtered if he screws up another transfer window

Expanding on his plans for Coutinho, Rodgers continued: "No question, Coutinho's best position is the No.10.

"And once we get the right kind of quality to put on the sides, he will play in that central role. That is where he affects the game best.

"At the moment, he has the licence to jump in and come inside - joining in and making passes, and we accommodate defensively when he does that.
                        loving this bit

so we're either getting another winger in, or cissokho coming in will move enrique forward, or diego costa coming in will move aspas to left wing, either way i'm good with that as long as phil plays centrally

Suarez BANS questions over his desperate attempts to quit Liverpool... and tells Uruguay team-mates to keep quiet, too

                            By Sami Mokbel

                            PUBLISHED: 22:15, 12 August 2013 | UPDATED: 22:15, 12 August 2013

Luis Suarez has imposed a blanket ban on discussing his attempts to leave Liverpool during the international break.

The wantaway striker has joined up with the Uruguay squad ahead of Wednesday's friendly against Japan, despite the fact he is carrying a foot injury.

International breaks are often used by disgruntled players to air their grievances away from the umbrella of their parent clubs.

But Suarez, who has been vocal in his attempts to leave the club, will this week refuse to answer questions with regards to his future.

Furthermore, the striker is understood to have asked his team-mates and Uruguay FA to stay silent on the bitter saga.

Suarez remains desperate to leave Anfield this summer and his agent Pere Guardiola hopes to hold further talks with Merseyside officials by the end of the week in an attempt to finally get his client out of the club.

As revealed by Sportsmail last week, Arsenal are likely to submit a third offer for Suarez this week - but their bid is set to be south of Liverpool's £50million asking price.
