So would I mate, so would I, but that will not happen in our lifetime. We need to take some calculated risks for it to happen while we are still alive.Originally posted by Nigey View PostI'd rather we stick with FSG. I'd hate it if we had to win the league by the strength of our pockets. I'd rather do it through hard work and clever scouting and coaching.
I think we have the right owners at the moment. They are getting our house in order, slowly and surely.
Right now I cannot even see the stadium re-development being completed.
FSG are good people with the right intentions, they just are not suited to a club our size IMO. They would be great for a team like Villa, not Liverpool."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

I know people say there has to be another way of winning without splashing cash all over the shop but, Dormund aside, has anyone done it recently and consistently ?Even Dortmund have been blown out of the water by Bayern and their cash since. More and more clubs with rich owners are spending their way to success and we need to be extremely clever and extremely lucky if we are to get there without following that model.

I'm torn on the one hand i can see where fsg are coming from after being burnt on the Carroll and downing transfers but not for a second do i think two American baseball fans and Ian Ayre know the value of a player more than Brendan Rodgers but they own the club so their word is final.Originally posted by Chazza View PostIf that is how you feel you should have left it.

Look I know my post was a tad OTT and I'm not doing it to create a reaction but it's killing me seeing us miss out on players for the sake of a few million, that's what's frustrating me.
I appreciate others point of view that we're going about it the sensible way which long term may prove right but we've been lagging behind for too long. Missing out on target after target to Spurs (no disrespect to them btw) as they are a very good team is hard to take and struggling year upon year to get to 4th only to end up in 5th, 6th or 7th behind our neighbours who are slowly overtaking us is quite frankly a joke and deeply depressing.
There are people not just on here who have a more positive outlook on things and believe we will be ok but I don't. My heart tells me we won't and for that reason I let out how I feel I'm sorry. We've been struggling for years.
If I don't feel good about the way things are and the way we are heading then I can't hold that in. I don't want to go the rest of my **** life struggling to get a European place worrying about my team and where we're going to end up, my life is already wank the way it is. I want us to be winning, week after ****ing week pummeling teams not going into the weekend pooing my pants worrying that we're going to concede or lose against some wank opposition.
We're the greatest team on the planet and that's not from a biased point of view but we are. Liverpool football club is an institution built on success and self belief for those around you, it's not just 11 full kit ******s kicking a ball around it encompasses everyone, every single one of us as fans, our friends and family and dictates our lives and it does as we're all on here every ****ing day and most of us are miserable cunts because of the state the club is in, I am.

Only that Dom didn't refer to his spelling/grammar, nor was he attacking him personally.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostI thought your grammar was quite good in that sentence actually.
It was a general comment about the pointless nature of football discussions.
Are we winning?
