I dont think it was a confidence issue at all, a readjustment period more likely. And he still scored a good amount.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostWhat's funny is that he really struggled to finish when he first came in. It was a confidence issue, just had to settle in a bit and put a few away in succession.
It was the fact people suggested that he couldn't finish which was at the time laughable (after his Ajax spell as well as the goals he scored) and even more so now.The times they are a changin'.

I think the way we are playing and set up suits him to a tee, I firmly believe he would not replicate this form for Madrid.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostI dont think it was a confidence issue at all, a readjustment period more likely. And he still scored a good amount.

To be honest, I would be inclined to agree with Kenny at a general level. In the case of Torres, it turned out to be the right decision, in the case of Suarez it would have turned out to be the wrong decision.Originally posted by Mostar View PostSadly Kenny felt if you don't want to play for Liverpool you should not be around.
I'm glad FSG didn't feel the same about Suarez.Oh I don't know.

I think the point is you need to assess whether you can win the player around to playing for you or not. Like you say that didn't work with Torrres (before he left he was already getting sulky and dropping in form) but has done so brilliantly with Suarez.Like blood on iron

Nah, we know that the nets are smaller in Holland which is why he kept hitting the bar here, just like Dirk. He just needed to readjust.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostWhat's funny is that he really struggled to finish when he first came in. Luissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
