4 months seemed incredibly harsh to me at first, but thinking about it...he bit someone FFS On the world's biggest stage as well, when the world's focus is on the football. I mean how stupid can you get? It's also the 3rd time he has done it. They were absolutely going to make an example of him and to be honest he deserves it. He is supremely talented but in all honesty a ****ing moron. Sucks for us but what can you do. We (LFC) have done well in surrounding him with a team of people who appear to have helped him manage his emotions on the field but he has just reverted to type - you can see what this World Cup meant to him, it was etched on the blokes face when he scored, he was practically in tears (and he cried on the bench didn't he?).

If the reports are true of Barca offering us cash + players then we would be mad to not at least consider it. Messi aside he is probably the best player in the world, but can we afford to miss him for 9 games every season? I mean what is he going to do next?

As for Suarez, I'm extremely tempted to say **** him but at the end of the day he clearly has issues and if the club with the motto 'You'll never walk alone' aren't willing to try and help him then who will?

And, selfishly, he's a brilliant player and is an asset of the club that we need to sell high, not low, if we are going to sell him

Uruguay will only be interested in the international aspect of the ban.

Thing is, there's been worse acts on a football pitch for far lesser cautions. The ones mentioned above; Pepe standing on Messi's hand, Mourinho's eye gouge etc which get minimal punishment and are more or less forgotten. It's not like he bit a chunk out of his arm, so I'm struggling to comprehend where 4 months come from despite him being a repeat offender.

Obviously I agree, he's a ****ing idiot and shouldn't have put himself in this position in the first place.

I'm not defending him you ****ing numpty.

I'm pointing out that other acts of deliberate violent conduct do not get treated the same. Where have I once said what he is done is acceptable. I'll give you a clue. He'll have done it again before you find it.

As I have said previously in this thread, the bite is being punished because of its shock factor, because you dont see it. But to suggest it is worse than deliberately headbutting or elbowing someone is madness.

If Woy had done his job that game would have been a dead rubber and it wouldnt have happened

Even with a ban he was the best player in the league last season by a country mile. I wouldn't sell him cos they'd be wanting him on the cheap. And if they do want him at all then they must consider his risk of mentalness to be worth it given his talent on the pitch so why isn't he good enough to stay with us. Pissed off with him now but when he's banging in goals all over the shop I'll forget all about it.

Sell next season though before he gets locked up for murder for stamping on an ant or something.

I hope they're talking to our board before making the appeal. Last thing we need is an additional month or two added to the ban!

If we are going to sue anyone for economic and competitive loss it should be the Uruguay FA for not employing a psychologist to help him.

Or maybe it's partly our fault for not telling them to or sending our own.

Is it better to have Suarez for 29 games next season than not at all?
                        Oh I don't know.

So it should be as equally easy for you to understand that elbows and headbutts are done on purpose.

I don't think Suarez has the mentality to understad a dead rubber. Every game matters.

I think we have found a positive.

So if they increase the ban after the appeal, what is the minimum number of games we'd accept him being available for?
                                Oh I don't know.
