That'll be just about enough of that, I really can't be arsed with moderating bickering tonight so can people please try to debate like adults and accept there are several different, pretty rational and valid, viewpoints on this.

I think the problem with that is that the reason they've been talking about it is because it is all the media, and our world cup tv coverage, has been talking about and showing since the moment he did it. Personally I don't believe all that many schoolchildren here were watching Uruguay v Italy, particularly as it was taking place at the same time as England were playing. Now ok, it was inevitable that was all anyone would talk about, but regardless, it is the volume of coverage that the children are responding to imo, not the event itself.

Yep. You can't defend what Suarez did, but who made him into this cult of personality? Who kept on harping nonstop about this act of ultimate inhumanity. The media. The English press to be exact.

And it shows up your bizarre moral crusade for the hypocritcal bollocks everyone else knows it is. You say you dont want this "scumbag" and "cunt" at the club and anyone else who does is "warped" because ya know you've got morals and all that. Yet just 6 days ago you're writing :

Along with all the other "**** off Real Madrid" stuff. Where were these morals you've spent the whole day preaching then? Have you got some in a week? Off ebay or something? You didnt have a problem with his biting, supposed racism and diving you talk about just 6 days ago. Now anyone who wants him to stay has no morals and is "warped"? It's hilarious. Fair enough if you've had enough of him now, cant blame anyone there but please spare up this hypocritical moral bull****.

A bit low saying Suarez dragged us to 2nd when we finished 7th the previous season with Suarez in the squad. Suarez massively contributed but 'dragged us'?

Agree. I get the sentiment of the tribute but it's OTT.

"Suarez is our main creative talent, our main goal scoring talent and our main fighting talent. He is all of those rolled into one. You can't replace that and you certainly can't hope to buy anyone nearly as good as him."

Sure, it's hard to replace one of the world's best and unique players but the poster is making out as if we should stop football, stop trying altogether if he goes.

It knocks back the contribution of the team and especially the manager too much for my taste.

At tabloid Chris : He is irreplaceable in Football terms everyone knows that and nobody wants him going to Madrid as they are ******s. That's been said by me and everyone.

Detrimental effect to lfc is all I'm concerned about.. Moral high ground my bollox. Everyone makes mistakes and does stupid **** but this incident brings it beyond repair.

My gripe is people saying that they don't care what he did and that they want him to stay regardless. It's too much after this.

To me you are the disturbed angry guy, that calls everyone Cunts and that has said of two separate occasions he'd like to see people getting beaten up. So let's not get into a conversation about morals.

Why do people have to become abusive towards each other? It's only a messageboard.

Suarez has been a silly boy and it has become quite tiresome. It's not beyond repair, but it is getting more difficult to tolerate. The manager and the owners will do what's best for the club, I'm okay with whatever they choose to do next. I love watching Suarez play, but I am bored of his stupidity at times. He doesn't owe me or anyone else an apology, he's just a footballer who does crazy things sometimes.

Please you two, last time I ask nicely, stop making this personal or I'll put you both in the sin bin together until you get along. Which could take quite a while I reckon so best avoid it completely

Dan, article about why we should keep him - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...c-Cantona.html

Not saying I agree but it makes some good points. Not reprinting it all btw as we had a copyright complaint about Telegraph articles this week believe it or not

No worries MrM apologies for personal comments... simply put I find some of what he posts pretty disturbing on times.

I read the article mate... Just feel enough is enough and can't justify any reason in keeping him apart from. Football reasons obviously. I think it's gone beyond that for the club and for many fans.

Also I think it's a case of feeling annoyed for making excuses for suarez the first time. He is a truly fabulous talent but sure once Liverpool get a good deal I'm happy.

Agree with everything else except for this. He owes the club. He can choose not to apologize for the incident -- that's his prerogative -- but he should be apologizing for inconveniencing the club in a massive way through his actions.

It's becoming clear that alot of Liverpool supporters are so desperate for us to win, that our morals go right out the window. It's ****ing disgraceful actually.

If this was a player from another club with that history people would be ****ing up in arms. People get a sniff of success and opinions change. The thread started off with the mild undertone of defence from some. Oh he was wrong but... And now I'm hearing so many lfc supporters just coming out now and I don't care what he did, he makes us better and I want him to stay no matter what.

He's a footballing genius but he's a cunt. I don't condone his actions and anyone who wants him to stay is. We are a fickle bunch that seem to make up one rule for us and another for others. He has bit people on 3 separate occasions, dives, cheats, was guilty of racist remarks, the handshake saga and him angling for a move since last year.

Nobody is denying he isn't a fabulous talent and his desire to win is unmatched but it's for himself. He plays for himself, always has and I'd imagine he always will. His performances on the pitch have helped Liverpool get back to the top tier but he has disrespected the club with his actions so many times. If he was **** the club would have ****ed him out a long time ago.

But yup he's a football genius that helps us win no doubts ... Damn the consequences.
I think it’s an interesting point i.e. what are we (supporters) willing to ‘put up with’ from players to ensure success? And are the rules different for someone like Suarez (who’s clearly special… in so many ways ) than a squad/mediocre player? We are quick to condemn players like Bowyer and Barton but defend Suarez because he’s ‘one of ours’ (and he’s one of the very best players in the world).

I agree that Suarez doesn’t really care about Liverpool. He’s the kind of guy that would go to Utd, if it guaranteed him success.

As for morals/morality – it’s a subject that does my head in. What’s right and what’s wrong – in life as well as on the football field? God knows.... if you believe in God... but that's another discussion
                        Another MASSIVE game

                            No he doesn't ya cunt.

I suppose privately he may apologise to the people he needs to once everything has been sorted. I suspect he's off to Barcelona anyway so he won't be causing us grief for much longer.
