Not in the slightest. We have one of the best managers in the league, we have a decent owner and have a pretty decent squad as it is. Luis will go and we will replace him.Originally posted by lickedlollipop View Postis anyone else afraid that lfc could become (like) new tottenham when bale left?Polymetal Allooyy

Not really. Not only do we have a far better manager, but most of the signings we have made so far know each other and have played together (even if some of it was for England). So we shouldn't be a team of strangers. The Southampton lads know each other and are used to playing in a certain way similar to ours. If Lovren arrives he immediately has two mates here and speaks the same lingo as his CB partner, Sahko.Originally posted by lickedlollipop View Postis anyone else afraid that lfc could become (like) new tottenham when bale left?
It'll be different for Can and a couple more perhaps, but BR seems good at fostering group unity.

They brought a shed of new players in, started them all straight away, then sacked their manager. We will still run with the basis of our old team with only Lallana/Sanchez likely to start the new season in the first 11, evolution not rev etc. Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

Get real, it is Barca you are talking about, money will change bank accounts and all will be rosy again.Originally posted by dizzycat View PostWhat happens if the Barca transfer appeal completes before the transfer is completed? The alternative being we pander to a single players mood? He's a great player but I think it's time to let go. A similar success to aldo, Barnes, Beardsley and Houghton replacing rush would be niceOriginally posted by lickedlollipop View Postis anyone else afraid that lfc could become (like) new tottenham when bale left?

Is it possible have started replacing him? We cutting the FFP short so maybe we are anticipating the cash from his sale, got in three players already and spent about 40 million with probably three players yet to come in.Originally posted by ronanm View PostThe alternative being we pander to a single players mood? Either way, if he goes or stays, we are in an enviable position. Keep Luis, great, he goes then it will be the end of that matter and we'll be about 70 million better off to replace him with exciting players.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Yes, obviously it's a worry, but we have no option tbhOriginally posted by lickedlollipop View Postis anyone else afraid that lfc could become (like) new tottenham when bale left?
The same has been said many times in the past when we've let players move on.
Only quite recently we all thought Torres would be irreplaceable, so it's a case of trust the present board and fingers crossed.Last edited by Vermilion; 02-07-14, 09:20 AM.
