Thanjk you.

This has all happened incredibly quickly. Can't help but think we've been talking to Barca for a while. I mean, clearly Suarez has, he's already agreed personal terms apparently
Suarez, is an absolutely fantastic player, one of a kind. However, if he is here a the start of the season or not. I supported Liverpool fc before he arrived and I will support them if/when he goes. Nothing changes! #perspective
Ah, the moment of clarity we've all been waiting for.

Who knows why Ayre flew to Barcelona prior to the world cup?
If it was me I'd put my foot down. It's ludicrous that he could be allowed to leave for less that what Bale went for.
So what he's banned for 4 months, he's still probably the 3rd best player in the world. Yeah he's got problems, but what he will do in the last 29 games will definitely make up for the 9 that he misses.
If Alexis doesn't want to join, then fair enough. No doubt he's quality but if his heads being turned by the bright lights of London then so be it, let him go to Arsenal and watch him stagnate playing alongside that French lump, Giroud.
We should be looking for at least £80 million from this transfer and then looking to invest heavily into the squad with quality players. Just try not to do a Spurs.
Suarez is irreplaceable, so whatever we get for him needs to be spent evolving the team to deal without him.
Gutted that he's more than likely to leave, but he's pretty much forced the hand of the club this time.
Sure I read it was euros earlier and as a result, the bid was around the £55m mark
£70m OPENING bid is tremendous news for us, I mean I'd prefer him to stay, but that suggests that the £80m mentioned isn't out of question
If true of course but that's come from a club source according to Hunter, so presumably it's Ayre.
The list of players at the bottom of that - Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Emre Can, Divock Origi, Lazar Markovic, Dejan Lovren, Ryan Bertrand, and possibly Alexis Sanchez is pretty tasty. We could be spending £120m this summer, maybe more.
They offer £70m, we insist on £80m so they offer £75m and everyone goes home happy/slightly disgruntled. Whatever happens I'm convinced that Suarez is bound for Barcelona. We're not going to quite get what we expected and they're going to pay slightly more than they wanted to.
I'd rather we turned down all bids. Our player, under contract so piss off Barca.
Not like we're desperate for money FFS.
If money was no object then it's clear we would keep him. His fee will allow us to jump forward a couple of windows in the big oidea, and I'm excited to see how it pans out.

We're not desperate for money, but it's clear that this year is different than last. Last year the offer(s) were just plain stupid, but this year it's a more realistic offer from a club that the player clearly wants to play for and we wouldn't be strengthening one of our domestic rivals. I'm sure that all parties are genuine and are looking for a swift conclusion to this. We need to focus on the future without Suarez and strengthen the team/squad without throwing money away at **** over-rated players like Spurs did.
