As long as we reinvest wisely. We wasted half the Torres money.
Also quality not quantity we shouldn't be looking to integrate too many players at the start of next season.

Who actually knows for sure if there is a release clause. I doubt there is.

I would have been, however him being banned for 4 months and unstable has softened the blow immensely.

Maybe he did it for us

Nah, **** that, hes a selfish prick, but whatever way it worked.

I doubt he would have re-signed without one.

              2) Suarez has serious issues and potential one more misstep about from a ridiculously lengthy ban.
              3) he always gave his all and was never going to stay at Liverpool for the rest of his career.

For me personally it's less about him stay now and more how we reinvest the money.
I think its simply because Torres hurt so much that we've all learnt from it.

Torres leaving made me realise that there is no loyalty in football. So anyone going after that just seems like staff turnover.
                *Except Michael, who died.

I won't think about him once he's gone and couldn't really care less how his career progresses from here on. Whether he succeeds or not affects me 0% unless the success directly knocks us out of Europe. He may not have sulked in the same way as Torres but the lack of discipline is done on purpose, with the same aim in mind.

Fingers crossed but there's no way up from Barca so he'll almost certainly behave himself. It's not like the biting is an act he has no control over, he knows full well what he's doing

Meeting pretty much in the middle is not a bad deal. Anything with a 6 in front of it would be disappointing.

Thank Luis for helping us get into the Champions League. Surely that's worth an extra £10m to us (bringing up to £81m!)
He also had 4 years at £200k a week left on his contract, that's £30m in additional freed up funds

yeah i was talking about my feelings re torres vs suarez the other day somewhere

                          with torres

i 'invested' more love to him if that makes sense. He was a superstar for us that came and just tore up the league like we'd haven't had anyone do for a while

plus we were in a **** state - ****** owners, managers coming and going, no direction, it was all falling apart and it looked likely that we might never attract a top class players etc

plus - torres did the unforgivable, signed for those cunts chelsea - a nothing club but for romans money

and torres - didn't get banned every season for 8/9/10 games

                          Suarez

now we are on the up - we have some really exciting players, playing the best football i've seen us in years, with an exciting manager,

off the pitch things are much better - we are no longer a soap opera

suarez is a 'prick' - as much as we have defended him, he is a prick and he will get involved in another controversy if he was to stay

he's going to barca which doesn't effect us in the same way it would if he was going to a premier league side
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

David Luiz at 7th stands out even more, the most expensive defender of all time who can't even defend very well, seriously wtf are PSG smoking?

That being said, Gerrard is a very good free kick taker too and scored some crackers in his time.
I'll read it later . I seem to remember all the ones that missed rather than those that did, especially towards the end of last season when he was off the boil a bit. It was quite frustrating at times but only cos you expect brilliance from him all the time.

I'll miss his breathtaking goalscoring talent of course but his wild antics are just too much for a decent respected club like ours. I'm glad we're cashing in whilst we can.

If we can mug Barca for £70M then we've had a great result because he's trouble waiting to happen and sooner or later he'll go over the top again and take a chunk out of someone else getting an even longer ban. Hopefully he'll do just what he did to U r gay and ruin his teams cup ambition, how about in the semi of the CL just before meeting us in the final.

He's already buggered up the start to this season for us with his lengthy ban leaving Brendan with a striking problem get rid of him now and get another decent striker in to partner Sturridge.
