if we can tighten up the defence by 15 goals and bring in another player who can provide another 20 goals / assists then we're probably not going to far off in terms of stats.
but what stats dont say is how much fear suarez put into the opposition, how he dragged defenders out of place for others, the mistakes he made opposition players make, his workrate etc...
i dont think this transition is going to be an easy one but you have to trust the powers that be. they should have been planning for this since the day he came here.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

We'll never know whether or not the ban has had an effect on the transfer valuation, given that all signs point to an agreement around whatever clause was more than likely inserted last year.
But it's a real shame no-one else came in, looking at you Real, to drive the price up. Should be looking at a world-record fee given the inflation of football's monetary drive.
As good as he was for us, he's only coming into his peak over the next couple of years IMO, and easily up there to be considered the top of the pile behind Messi and Ronaldo. Ultimately his qualities more than compensate for his less impressive tendencies, and I don't believe Barca were in any way influenced by these factors (though I'm sure they chanced their arm post-ban to see what the reaction was)."I will make the boys feel your support"

I think that player COULD be Sterling. He showed since xmas (and at the world cup) that he's potentially one of those players that sparks fear in defenders.Originally posted by el matador View Postif we can tighten up the defence by 15 goals and bring in another player who can provide another 20 goals / assists then we're probably not going to far off in terms of stats.

i like him but he's still very young and its unfair to put that sort of pressure on a kid although he is being given the no. 7 shirt.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Gutted, best player I've ever seen in the flesh but his leaving was inevitable. I wish him all the best at Barca but we've got to move on now and get the right player(s) in to replace him.
I fancy we'll see someone come in that might be a bit of a surprise this summer.
