No ****ing about - straight out the door, with a boot up his arse as he left.

    Simple as that.
That game was the last straw for me. I wanted him out from that point onwards without question.

I didn't want him to get the job at the start, but iirc, only about 6 people on Est wanted him to get the job from a choice of reasonably realistic candidates.

When it was clear it was Hodgson or Dalglish I put another thread up and once again the result was damning, a massive percentage wanted Kenny over Roy. So in fairness no one ever really wanted Roy to get the job, other than the odd person.

But once he is given the job we have to be fair and reasonable. I think in fairness Roy was given some time. Even when we knew the writing was on the wall when we saw how he set the team up with the negative tactics of surrendering possession. We still gave him time and supported him. But when the results and performances began to add up at an alarming rate, voices of dissent started and I think with a new regime in and a perfect opportunity to give Roy the boot many of us wanted blood at that stage.

And had we had it early doors, we'd be in 4th place now IMO. And I reckon Torres might still be here, along with Suarez, who was pursued with the idea of putting him up along side Torres.
    Forwards.......

I'm not sure. We had to put up with things getting as bad as they could realistically get, but Kenny was able to come in with almost 100% fan support, pressure off, and its all gone pretty much as well as it could have since.

Momentum is so important in football and Kenny's been able to build up a **** load of it with the way he started; I'm not utterly convinced he would have been able to build that up in quite the same way with things as they were at the club in August.

As for whether he should have replaced Hodgson earlier, well maybe by a few weeks but I do think expecting or wanting new owners to act before getting a grip on the situation, when a lot of the advice they may have been hearing was of the Hodgson = LMA darling type, always was a little unrealistic.

I read a media article that stated that polls conducted over Liverpool forums, such as this one, about 95% of fans wanted Kenny over Roy. It was overwhelming.

One thing Roys appointment did was to unite fans in the belief that Kenny was the man. Many fans wanted other managers, saying Kenny was past it. They changed their mind when they saw the results under Hodgson.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Yep, that was disgusting and he made it even more sickening after the match by declaring how great we were during the game!! We were truly atrocious.

Worst manager in English football history, absolutely despise him.

What a strange, strange season this has been.

It's going to be game 37 before the Mancs are confirmed PL winners ( ) and West Ham get relegated. Madness.

If Hodgson had stayed and we'd maintained the level of form we showed under him over 36 games we'd be on 45 points now. Kenny has effectively got us 13 extra points over 16 games (0.81 extra points per game)
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

For future reference I found this site which allows you to select a start date within the season to calculate the table...so just set the "Matches From" to 10th of January (before Blackpool game) and click on "Go".

                          http://www.statto.com/football/stats...1/custom-table

So far under Kenny's 16 league games:

We've accumulated 2nd highest amount points (ahead of United by 1 point )
                          Most clean sheets (8).
Only team to score in every game.
                          Scored the most goals (35).
                          Conceded 2nd fewest (14).

Outstanding record, defies belief really considering the past. Kenny has worked some magic on these players.
