When it was clear it was Hodgson or Dalglish I put another thread up and once again the result was damning, a massive percentage wanted Kenny over Roy. So in fairness no one ever really wanted Roy to get the job, other than the odd person.
But once he is given the job we have to be fair and reasonable. I think in fairness Roy was given some time. Even when we knew the writing was on the wall when we saw how he set the team up with the negative tactics of surrendering possession. We still gave him time and supported him. But when the results and performances began to add up at an alarming rate, voices of dissent started and I think with a new regime in and a perfect opportunity to give Roy the boot many of us wanted blood at that stage.
And had we had it early doors, we'd be in 4th place now IMO. And I reckon Torres might still be here, along with Suarez, who was pursued with the idea of putting him up along side Torres.
