I dont want him to fail. And you're right, it wouldn't. I was just inferring that fans are fickle and that there might be a stark difference between posts now and then were it to happen. Pretty sure it won't so never mind.Originally posted by Chris View PostYou always come across as desperately wanting Kenny to fail so you can be proven right.
Besides, what would be "interesting" about it? If we lose 30 games next season it still wont change the fact he's an incredible person and has been an amazing player and manager here.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Damn right we will!!Originally posted by frank the tank View PostI was at the game last night - we were immense. The only time i have seen us play near to that level in the last 10 years is against west ham a few seasons ago away as well.
Rewind 6 months and we were all pretty much down with how things were going and how things were looking. Even when we were bought by FSG we, as fans, still weren't inspired or upbeat because of the idiot we had in charge.... i'm convinced Roy would have bought Carlton Cole in the Jan window!!!
What a difference a few months make. The team looks hungrier than it has for years and you get the feeling that there is more to come. We would probably all have said that Maxi was on the "get-rid" list a few months ago but now he looks inspired. You get the feeling that Jay Spearing has been told something along the lines of "we have money to spend on a top midfielder in the summer.....but you have 4 or 5 months to convince us we don't need to spend it on a midfielder" - he looks like he has the bit between his teeth in a big way and kenny has given him the confidence to stake his claim for a place in Liverpool FC's midfield.... Lucas looks like he is ready to grab the responsibility of being a key midfielder for LFC whereas before it looked like a weight on his shoulders.... the best compliment you can give to our team at the moment is that if Stevie Gerrard was back and 100% fit in the morning, it would be touch and go if he would get back into the first team!!! Also, we have a £35m striker who looks like he will have to bide his time before coming back into the team. We have a crop of youngsters that look like they have taken their chance due to lack of resources this season and as a conequence are ready to be part of the first team squad for next year. That means that we don't have to build the squad as much as we though - before we all agreed that we needed 2 left backs because PFK was a car-crash!!! Whereas now we can just spend the resources on 1 top left back because we have Johnson, Flanagan and Robinson who have proved they can play there with no problem....
We are playing some attractive, passing, attacking football that will attract real passionate footballers - like Suarez - to the club........
We are on the verge............next season, we will be back!!!

Our king has returned and he's brought football back home.
We will be number 1 again and the King will rule for a very long time.
My personal preference was for Rafa to be given the job but the day the king took the job, i cannae explain the emotions i must have beeped my horn and looked like a mad man driving to work. I had a smile on my face all day. What a relief it was for us to get rid of that old fool, it was almost like that horrible weight/pressure you have on your head, lifting and you feel so much better.
Week after week i wanted my team to lose, to be humiliated. That man drove me to it
Now that Kenny has come back, I BELIEVE and kenny knows he is going to take us right to the top. Fergie knows it and the rest of the premiership knows it
King Kenny is back to run the show
I Love Kenny not only is he a red, he's also Scottish , someone better tell that racist shaggy that our Kenny is a scot.
Love everything about the man.
They'll not get away with disrespecting us while he is in charge.

The biggest impact The King has made on my life since he came back is that in the last month or so when Bodge was in charge I couldn't even drag my son downstairs to watch Liverpool play.
It was torture to watch it myself, I suppose I could have been charged with cruelty if I'd made him watch the games with me.
Now he comes bouncing down the stairs all excited and happy again when I call him to watch Liverpool.
Thanks Kenny.

May 9, 2011
Dear Mr./Sir/King Kenny Dalglish
I am writing to you to "fix it for me" to have my husband's heart & undivided attention back please. It's been missing since 8th January 2011, the date you were appointed caretaker manager at LFC. Granted, despite the dodgy tracksuits, you're not Jimmy Saville but I thought I'd give it a shot cause since this date the following changes have taken place;
My husband has regressed back to childhood and no longer talks, he now shouts excitedly punctuating every 2nd sentence with 'Dalglish'.
He has taken up five-a-side footy (at the age of 34) in the desperate belief his life long dream of training with you at Anfield will now come true (seriously!!)
He no longer sits down to watch LFC matches - he stands two inches away from the telly talking animatedly to the players and to you....you can hear him right? Well the neighbours 5 doors down can.
He religiously follows all levels of LFC football so every morning I awake to a story about you & LFC, the team, fixtures, injuries, statistics, antidotes, quotes, photos, trivia, the youth players etc..... and again each evening without fail. Without fail.
He mentions your name more than mine.... (that's a tough one to swallow I have to admit)
Since your return his dream of scoring the winning goal to lift the Premiership title for LFC has returned, so at night I endure the dreaming, the tossing & turning and the kicking - I have the bruises to prove it.
He joined Twitter to follow you & all things LFC related. This wouldn't have been a big deal only I work in Social Media and spent the previous year trying to get him on Twitter with no success. One word got him on @kennethdalglish (he's @cookiedub1 in case you want to tell him to put on the 1986 kit he still has & join the team!)
And lastly when asked what his happiest memory was, he smiled broadly with emotion welling up in his eyes and proudly announced .......your appointment as caretaker manager of LFC ...... eh we were only recently married at the time!!
So Kenny I'm a realist there's probably no chance he's going to change, he's LFC to the core. It appears that at the altar he failed to mention there's another bird I'll be sharing him with for life - the Liver Bird. The only thing I ask is that you don't break his heart, you sign a permanent contract, get knighted and keep doing what you're doing because despite all of the above you've taken 20 years off him already & given me endless weekends away shopping in Liverpool!
Your sincerely
The Wife.-----------------------------------------------

I love watching football, but in all honesty I've not been bothered about it much of late until Kenny took over, probably a bit of a defensive mechanism kicking in. If you kid yourself you don't care, it helps ease the pain a bit of watching your team get stuffed by ****e teams.
It was never even the results, it was being kept pinned in our own third by piss poor teams in the premier league and even Northampton bloody town, not to mention teams at the same level as the Dog and Duck in the Europa qualifying rounds.Forwards.......

I hope that he will get the final say on transfers so he can build his team the way he want. It is about time our manager get that chance.
That will be very important in the summer. The future is looking very good indeed considering our Academy and talent after talent knocking on the door to the first team.
KK will be able to spend big on a few players instead of buying quantity if he want to do it that way.
Will be interesting to see how KK will build the team.
FSG should also get a lot of credit
for their work. Already a great big sponsorship deal worth £25m a season and doing it the quiet way as they should do.

That's what got to my son, it was the performances more than losing that hurt.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View Post

For the last 2 years he's been evangelical in converting his friends to Liverpool but once the Mancs bought Mexicos favourite son Chicharito it was always going to be an almost impossible task for him to keep his friends loyal to Liverpool but us getting Bodge at the same time and the **** he produced also made it humiliating for him at school.
Then losing Torres in January after his grandad had just bought him a new shirt with Torres on the back (the first time he's asked for a shirt with a players name instead of his own) it was an all time low for me and him.
Now he can fight his corner again and whilst he's unlikely to get his friends supporting us as long as the Mancs are winning and have Chicharito at least has his pride is back and can argue his corner.
Every week I told him how much better we were playing, showed him the table and slowly but surely he started watching again and then the past month with the performances we've put in his believe is back again.
Barcelona is his second team and he was only interested in them by January but now they are firmly back in second place.
Cannot wait for next season.

I was always sure we'd get back to playing top football, it was just a question of how long we'd be stuck with the last owners who were a complete disaster. Now we are operating at the clubs full potential again, we can start to look forward to competing for top honours again.Forwards.......
