I have no idea what this thread is really about I haven't heard anybody moaning about anything.

Kenny Dalglish is the best manager we've had since Kenny Dalglish.

We might laugh at them when they overpay for players like Carrick and Berbatov. But that's why the have the squad capable of winning the league.

Sometimes you need to pay over the odds if the player is one who will give your squad the extra possibilities.

Plus what do we know anyway. Ive been wasting my life on the internet long enough to remember the howls of complaint from most of us when we were linked with Drogba and Essien at various points under Houllier.

If Kenny can win the league with Stuart Ripley, Im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he knows exactly what a player will bring to his squad.

Our manager getting the chance to build the squad the way he want. A lot of people moan about if it is right to sign Henderson for £16m+. I don't care. If King Kenny want to pay that much then I'm happy that we do it. Then he will get a player he want. A player he believes will strengthen the squad.

I don't care how much we pay for our players. Not even a little bit, as long as the manager want him then that is good enough for me.

I dreamt that Rafa would get that chance. A lot of us did. Now King Kenny get that chance.

I'm just very very happy about our situation and the chance King Kenny now get to build a title winning squad.

I believe that we will win #19 very very soon with King Kenny as our manager. Maybe not the coming season but we will certainly put in a very good fight.

King Kenny and FSG feels like a great combination.
I agree with you, Arn. We're far more likely to win the league under Kenny than we were that Rafa bloke. It's just nice that someone has finally had the cajones to stand up and say it.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I blame football manager and youtube. The Galatico model is not what Kenny or the club is about.

I think we need more local (in the western islands of europe sense, i can't say B%^&$h Isles being a European) players to win the league.

Everyone is entitled to moan, but only when the time is right. Nobody has been signed yet, nor has anybody played a minute on the pitch.

Yes we are probably far more likely to win the league with Kenny in charge than we ever had with Rafa because we now have good owners.

As I said. FSG and King Kenny feels like a great combination.

Hazard, Mata, Llorente, Aguero, Kjaer, Lahm

I'd even be happier with Young than Downing. I'd be happier with Johnson than Young.

I think we need to be realistic about what players we can attract, given our finish and standing last year..

Bringing in young English talent, although always overpriced will be a good investment imo and I'm sure we'll have our priority positions covered for next season..and these aren't bad lads we are being linked with here, just not Marquee signings..

Look at the unknowns that Wenger brought in over the years.. Shame he hasn't backed it up like..

                    Long window to go yet..

yeah i wasnt expeting a hazzard or aguero just some players who are the finished article. My worry is will we be very ordinary without suarez?

i am not sure that the players i listed are all unrealistic. i could be wrong though on that. I dont mind the going for youth policy its a very sensible one, just at the money we are talking i think we could get at least one player who has realised their potential.

anyway they know much more than i do and cant please everyone so should go with what they think is best, just doesnt stop me being underwhelmed.

hopefully when they play i wont be, much better to enjoy watching them next season knowing i was wrong than being underwhelmed and knowing i was right.

But the others for that price aren't interested. because they probably feel for that amount, with the attraction of champions league, they can attract other players
I think part of it is that those clubs might well want to sign these players we're after, but with their eyes focussed on the prize in the more immediate future they don't want to allocate such a proportion of their budgets to buying kids.
