    Arsenal away

What's the general feeling about that game? Happy with a point?

    Avoid defeat is the priority?

I personally think, if we adopt the mentality necessary, we'll win there.

Only worry is if Rafa decides he just wants a point.

But if he is brave enough to play according to OUR strengths, we'll go there and win.

    Fair assessment?

Aslong as we beat Reading a point wouldn't be that bad. Hopefully Stevie won't pass to Henry this time

If offered, I'll take a 0-0 now thanks, clean sheet & a point away to the Arse, but I would like to say after the event that we outplayed them at their own game at their own ground! How sweet would that be?

I'd take a draw no problem.

I really think we need to win unless we are willing to accept 4th. It's not just the points from this one game but we need to develop a winning mentality against the top sides.

It all depends on our approach to the game from a mental standpoint.

I just hope Rafa doesn't send them out going negative. It was a disaster at OT.

Still I reckon we can get stuck into them. For me being soft is still their biggest weakness.

A win, anything less and we've been beaten by our 3 closest opponents and thats good enough. We're better than Arsenal and should be going out to prove it.

Anything less than a win? How about a draw? We won't have been beaten by our 3 closes rivals then!

Take your point though. I hate to say it but our primary objective should be to avoid defeat. We can win there, no doubt. They're having the same problems every single club seems to when they first move to a new stadium so we could capitalise, but we MUST NOT get beaten.

Failed to win would have been a better way to put it, but know what I meant.

lets not forget that they'll be up for it too.

when the top teams play, form goes out of the window.

I expect a tough game, and it depends on what team turns up for us.

saying that, we have a good record against the arse generally.

Theres absolutely no reason IMO why we cant go there and get the 3 points.

That said, i just get a feeling we are going to get a cautious '2 banks of four break us down' display to get something out of the game.

In short - happy with a draw but would prefer us to to try for 3.

                          That would be suicidal.

I think we need to win - all this talk of scrambling for a point is too negative. Arsenal play great football, but I feel we are stronger side, if we keep it tight they can get frustrated quite easily and I reckon we can win it. A big perfomance will be needed by Stevie G - if he perfoms so does the team and I reckon a win away to Arsenal will really kick start the season and we could easily go on a winning spree of 10 games after it.

The teams who have done that have won or drawn against the Arse, so not quite suicidal. I'd still us rather go for a win but by using pace upfront and compressing the midfield, so not all out defense, but certainly tight for the first 45 minutes
