    FAO Oranje Reds....

Just wanted to ask, hopefully dutch reds, or Eredivisie watchers might be able to tell me....Kuyt's little lap of honour and applause that he does after every game at Anfield...did he used to do this at the end of games at De Kuip?

Lovely gesture which really highlights his superb attitude and desire to work for the fans. Is it new or did he always do it?

He's done it his entire career apparantly.

As legend has it, PSV were involved in a dutch Cup game a couple of years ago away at some second division side, they only took 150 fans with them, it was a 0-0 draw in a massive thunderstorm, all the players scuttled off down the tunnel as soon as the final whistle blew, but Kuyt stayed behind, went right over to the fans and gave them his shirt and boots and shook hands with many of them in the front rows while they chanted his name.

From that moment on, he's been adored at PSV.

            That's superb, if true.

It doesnt seem like a lot to do, but the fact that no one else does it tells you something. Top class fella.

Nothing pisses me off more than players heading straight for the tunnel without acknowledging their own fans, hardly to much to ask is it?
                Nice to hear that.

I seem to him mentioning something along these lines in a recent interview.

Basically he has always done this.
He mentioned something like it's the fans that make a club, and that it's the fans that spend big money (comparitively speaking) to watch the players, and that they deserve to be respected. He says it's his ways of thanking the fans for the support, and acknowledging that they have to give up so much else to attend matches week-in week-out.

All round a quality bloke, and it's also amazing what he does with his charity work
