What a load of drivel. I'm the one that's just had to explain to you that you've been talking about hypertension without realising itOriginally posted by el matador View Posthypertension is a disease.
Creatine temporarily causes blood pressure to increase. Were not talking about permanent high blood pressure which is hypertension. when its in the system blood pressure can increase. When its been used by the body and is no longer in the system the blood pressure can drop again.
Hypertension can be primary or secondary - prolonged use of something which elevates BP can cause hypertension. If you weren't talking about secondary hypertension then what the **** kind of BP related risk elevating mechanism were you talking about? Brief elevations in BP? You mean like you get during exercise only less?
Quit googling and admit you don't know what you're talking about. There's been a constant trickle of faeces from you all night, not just on this thread. Put a bung in it, dude!
Circular logic - as you said yourself, hypertension is a contraindication for using itOriginally posted by el matador View PostIf someone with hypertension uses creatine, they are at risk of possible strokes and heart attacks which is at odds with what matt and dom were arguing earlier.
Surely, you can't disagree with that.
Do you think many elite footballers suffer from hypertension?

you've missed the point and I didn't know that saj was an elite footballer either. But thanks for sharing that with us.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostWhat a load of drivel. I'm the one that's just had to explain to you that you've been talking about hypertension without realising it

They've been claiming that creatine is safe to use all the time which I didn't agree with. I've just given an example of where using creatine could be harmful.
That's the truth.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

I have used creatine in the past for my running. If you skip out the loading phase and take a low dose as a daily supplement it allows you to train harder and recover quickly.
I had been injured and had committed to running a marathon and needed help to catch up in my training. It worked a treat. I know loads of people who use it for body building and it works wonders for that and they report no side affects.
