I think it means that he didn't fit into the way Dalglish wants to play - my suspicion is that it was hard to find a position for him if we will often be playing two forwards given his lack of physical strength.Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postwtf does that mean, couldn't get him in the team?"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

My thoughts exactly! For a moment, just try to imagine the attacking pass and move football we could have been playing with this as our front 6:Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postwtf does that mean, couldn't get him in the team?

---Downing-----Aquilani-----Gerrard----
-----------Adam------Lucas-----------
Then throw Kuyt, Meireles, Henderson into the fray and it really is top notch.
So gutted we have let him go.

Close the thread! Why can't people understand that he was homesick and not highly rated by the coaching team?? Unproffessional of him not trying to adjust to life in England but Rafa should never have bought him. Only problem is that we didn't succeed in selling him (cause he wasn't good enough)."Justice has been done."

What evidence do we have that he didn't try?Originally posted by Glenn Hysen View PostClose the thread! Why can't people understand that he was homesick and not highly rated by the coaching team?? According to an article below it seems he is loaned to Milan for the remainder of his contract with us rather than a year
Aquilani: 'Milan is like paradise'
Alberto Aquilani thanks Juventus for giving him a chance, but “Milan is like Paradise” as he returns to face his former teammates.
The midfielder is still owned by Liverpool, but was welcomed back to Serie A last year in a loan spell with Juve.
The club would not pay the agreed buy-out clause and failed to haggle a lower fee, so he joined the Rossoneri instead in a similar deal.
“Milan is like paradise, as there are the ideal conditions to live well and play football,” Aquilani told the Corriere dello Sport.
“Now I understand why all the players who came to Milan said they felt happy. Now I want to become a key player for this team.
“I didn’t get to play with Liverpool very much and it was difficult to settle in. I thank Juventus, who gave me the chance to play regularly again and to make it back into the Italy squad.
“I came to Milan when it was still possible to resume talks with Juventus, but the Rossoneri confirmed my contract until 2014. I chose to cut my wages so I could thank them for the opportunity they were giving me.
“I am very happy to have made this choice.”
Aquilani returns to Turin to face Juve on Sunday evening and takes on his replacement, former Milan star Andrea Pirlo.
“The fact we swapped clubs this summer is just a coincidence. I don’t think the game will be decisive for the Scudetto, as it’s still too early to say"Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
