That is the starting XI I want to see against Sunderland.

Carra instead of a new CD if we don't sign one. Insua IS a left fullback and know how to play in that position. He is our best choice as long as we don't sign a new left fullback.

Why play other defenders out of position instead of a fullback that played very good the only full season he played in the PL? I will never understand that.

Insua isn't world class or anything like that but he is our best option.

Insua has been as poor as anybody in the games he's played in, defensively speaking.......any of the other fullbacks would probably represent a better option. (although Johnson's form/condition looked particularly bad tonight).

Doesn't need to be in big red text.......BUT LB IS A MUST

No he isnt, he might be if he had the form from 2 + years ago but that now just looks like a hot streak, he's horrendous.

Kuyt is frustrating to me, he has his moments but most of the time his technical ability is poor. Especially today his use of the ball was ****. I still don't trust him on the ball but I guess he almost makes up for it with his work rate.

If you play a right back as left back then you got the problem that he will be wrong footed a lot of times. He can't make the same sort of tackles or make the same sort of defending etc.

Insua won't have that problem and he isn't dire. He was very good when he played for us. Better attacking statistics than Ashley Cole for example and a lot better defensive statistics than you give him credit for. He win a lot more duels than he lose.

For all those problems, it would still be a better option than playing Insua. He's a liability, unfortunately. Even if you say he isnt. He still is.

I hope so mate.........I'm tough on Glen because I know what he's capable of, and he hasn't had the best of times with us, but he still represents our best FB when fully fit.
But he looks a few weeks away at this rate, and even last season he seemed to be carrying a fatter arse than normal.

I have to say, if this is his 'dont want to be here' level of performance, and if he was to maintain it, then he should definitely be staying and starting.
