I think 5th from a neutral viewpoint is fair enough.

Being a fan I'm wanting better but that's the nature of the beast.

What a bunch of cocks, Arsenal are falling apart, Chelsea are creaking and Spurs will have a ****ed off Modric in the team (or not..). 3rd is ours at least.

I think we should **** what The Times thinks and go with what Est thinks.

I'm surprised first and third are being mentioned, but then perhaps I'm trying some reverse psychology in my head, that if I say fourth I'm not jinxing a higher placed finish.

Can't we have a poll where posters think we'll finish, name and shame, then mock each other for being optimistic or pessimistic?

Other than everton I agree. We don't have the quality to get top 4 yet,but maybe next season. As for Everton at some point the will get relegated and maybe next season.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

The money we have spent we should be top 4

Utd- will be at the top, will take something special to beat them to the title

City- Great players but not a great team

Chelsea- new coach, everyones on eggshells.Dressing room issues. If chelsea drop points at the start of the season it could go pearshaped

Arsenal- Awful at the back, issues with nasri and fab, players who want to be somewhere else, especially fab

Us- Lots of new signings, quality ones at that, will take time to gel ok, but the key issue is they all want to play for us, notice the smiles on the faces, harmony. There will be no dressing room issues, we are a team.
I expect us be nestled quite comfortably in the top 4, and i'd be happy with that

we defo have the players to challenge for top 3 this year nevermind top 4.

the king showed last year what he can do with our squad (from the time he took over till the end of season we were the 2nd best team). we have strengthened our squad with genuine width and delivery (downing) genuine passing ability in the centre (adam) genuine goalkeeping back up (doni) and youth and enthuisiasm (henderson). add the that a possible attacking left back (enrique) and a first class centre half with pace/power/etc (cahill) and i would fully expect a top 3 finish.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

There are a lot of questions as stated above, and I reckon we are in for a very interesting season.

United holds the best cards with a strong team working as a united, and a manager that seems to get to most out of average talent. The big question for them is how they will fare without VDS, early to say if De Gea will step up considering his age. Scum are favorites in my book.

City have a lot of talented players and a bottomless pit of money, but they don't have a great team. Balotelli, Tevez are players that can upset a team, they must by now have a lot of frustrated players for the bench, and without a sense of unity it's hard for any amount of talent. Should finish top-4.

Chelsea - ageing squad, little added and a young unproven manager sets it up for an interesting season for them. Wonder how established chelsea players like Terry and Lampard will react to a young manager the first time he makes an unpopular choice in their view. With a few young players added they could well be in it, but for now it's a team going the wrong way. Should still finish top-4

Arsenal - Still have a talented squad with a fragile mentality, a poor GK and a not to impressive defense. I reckon they are the team that will be pushed out of top-4 if they don't get some serious investment. At the same time they might be stuck with an unhappy Fabregas, or they will have to replace him which will be very difficult. My guess is that they will finish 5th, but could well push for top-4.

Liverpool - We are in for an interesting season and perhaps a defining one for the next years to come. We need to get back in to CL and Europe. It will become increasingly difficult if we don't Made some good signing so far, and in general have a good balanced squad, but with a few weaknesses and mainly in defense, especially in depth. An extra striker would do us well. My guess and feeling is top 4, and with the right couple of signings it could be any position.

Spurs - well they got to CL one season and play over their ability. They need to spend well to challenge again and I don't see them finishing more than 5th-6th place. If they loose Modric as well they have little to attract top players with.

From a neutral standpoint the competition for places in the PL will make it very interesting, and a good competitive league with many challengers is a bonus IMO. Really looking forward to this season.

I think we'll be in The top 4 for the entire season, and sneak into 2nd as others fade in the final few games.

haha everton 7th - ****ing hell...they're a mess! they'll do well to finish top 10 and thats' not being 'biased' - they look shot, they have a thin squad, no real quality - no strikers, and their own fans ****ing boo'd Tony Hibbert the other day every time he touched the ball when he came on for a pre-season friendly
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
