Thanjk you.

Ged did a lot for this club. However he fell ill and returned to work to soon. I think this fact is often overlooked. Illness undermined his ability to capitalise on a lot of the hard work he had initiated. It also, I believe affected his judgement. Anyone who has had a serious illness will tell you, how exhausting making difficult and important decisions can be for quite a while after. It really does affect your entire physical and psychological capabilities. If anyone is to blaim it's the board for not assessing quickly enough the fact that he was incapable of carrying out his responsibilities to the level required.
We should thank Ged for what he achieved for us and move on.
Nope but I see no need to slag the fella off and his achievements, he did wonders for the team after the post Souness and Evans years, and he did a remarkable job getting us to were he did. He nearly won us the premiership one year as well as his trophy haul, just unfortunately he didn't know when to jack it in with us, and he'd taken us as far as he could.
RAFA! RAFAEL! RAFA! RAFAEL! RAFA! RAFAEL! RAFAEL BENITEZ!
What % did we lose on Cheyrou, Diao, Diouf and Heskey? And whilst you are there look at the NET loss which I believe on this lot is something like £20M. I think Traore is the ONLY player Houllier bought that we made any money on.
Anyway, your post there is totally irrelevant to the point that you initially made. Real Madrid made a £40m loss on Figo, it doesn't make him ****.
But they got a few League titles, a European Cup, sensational performances, lots of merchandise sales, and several man of the match performances.....
Look if you're going to bash anyone's signings, what they were subsequently sold on for is not the best indicator is it?
The very fact that a player has been sold by a big club almost always means he is just not needed/wanted any more and so his value is bound to be less than impressive. I suppose you would be lauding Houllier's signings if he had sold on the signings that worked out well for big money? The way to judge a manager's ability in the transfer market is through how he spent and what return he got quality-wise for that money.
I'd forgotten how difficult your absolute cuntsmithery is to contend with.

Yes, but I used him as an example of how the gain or loss on a player is not in any way related to his ability. Arsenal made an £11m loss on Wiltord, Man City made a £5m loss on Anelka, we made a £4m loss on Morientes, Newcastle made an £8m loss on Hugo Viana, Chelsea made a £12m loss on Duff, an undisclosed (ie: huge) loss on Crespo, the list goes on.
