Yeah, Murphy was especially invisible in all those games where he scored key goals to win the match. Such as pretty much every game against the Mancs that we played during his time with us.Originally posted by RashidHeskey cost us £11M and gave us one decent season - well the firts half of that season. Smicer cost us £15 in wages and fees, he left for free... he was ****e overall.
Murphy was **** mainly, Mr Invisible....
Heskey was every inch an £11m player for the treble season. Didn't he score 22 goals or something like that? That must have been one hell of a half a season.
Smicer wasn't ****e, he was injury prone. As previously mentioned, he made a very considerable contribution to the most important match that Liverpool have played in for the last 20 odd years. If Smicer was ****e, how did he end up with so many caps for the Czech Republic, who are hardly a team short on talent?Such an ugly face, such an ugly mouth.

I disliked then when they were here....Originally posted by SconnieeBashing ex-players, ex-managers, ex-directors is completely and utterly pointless.
It comes from a mindset of negativity, destruction and self-importance of opinion.
Most definitely NOT the Liverpool way.
But in today's age, who cares for that, or prides ourselves in it?
Biggest mistakes we made in the transfer market are signing players who aren't "Liverpool Players".

A great squad is being built up by Rafa – however there are players in the team now that are probably not of the highest standard that we need to win championship. Crouch holds it up but he is never the stylish link man needed to unlock opposition defences week in week out – and take the pressure off our midfielders. I don’t think Riise is a great left back, and Finnan is slowly getting worse (maybe it is his age) – although he is one of my favourite players at the club and was excellent the last 2 games.Originally posted by Fan65Well give us all a laugh and tell us your thoughts on the current crop of players..
Our core of Reina, Agger, Sissoko, Gerrard. Alonso and Kuyt are world class and a great back bone but unless we finally address the attacking midfield areas with top quality we won’t be bringing in No 19. (Obviously Gonzalez, Bellamy, Pennant (who I actually know), Riise, Crouch etc might end up being world class but I time will tell).
Man United can play two fannies in CM because the opposition is so tied up with Rooney and Ronaldo, Chelsea have players of class all over the pitch but they are freaks, and Arsenal pack their team with attacking players of real talent led by the brilliant Henry. Our problems have always been in attack, ever since Roy Evans left….

And yet we have the best attacking midfielder in the premiership but he's being played wide right most of the time, I'd like to think Pennant will rise to the occasion from what I've seen of him playing at Watford he's an exceptional winger. Hasn't proved it yet but I think & hope he will. Maybe then Gerrard will get that CM role permenantly.
