Presumably it has something to do with the Sunderland allocation and the number of seats lost because of the segregation. Did Sunderland have a smaller ticket allocation than other away sides last season? It looked that way on TV

Because Man United won their game to take 2nd place and all below got shifted down one position.Originally posted by ShaggyHow come they had us 3rd and now 4th?
Doesn't take in account home/away otherwise Wigan (home) would be above Norwich. It's just alphabetical after Goals Scored taken into account of course when on equal Goal Difference.Originally posted by ShaggySeems the teams who drew home games are ranked alphabetically, followed by alphabetical ranking of the teams who got away draws? Is that right?

I really want to go there with some mates, never been there before. I went home after being at the pub to watch the game, mind you I have no idea what happened really.Originally posted by Mostar View Post96 Never Forgotten

I thought this an interesting read and this is probably where it should go bar opening a new thread.
10 thoughts on LFC 1-1 Sunderland
(1) The first half was a thrilling portent of what might unfold this season, passing, moving, chasing, looking for goals.
(2) The second half was a throwback to the more desperate parts of last season. Hoofing it toward a ponytail should be an option rarely taken, not the default.
(3) Seven of the XI have only started since Dalglish took over in January. It’s amazing that they can gel so well.
(4) Every senior debutant looks like they’re ready to be a first-team regular. England cap or not, Henderson looked like a work in progress.
(5) Suarez remains our only player capable of genius at close quarters. Unless we sign another, we need to retain Aquilani and Pacheco or fast-track Suso or Sterling.
(6) Anyone who claims decisions at Anfield always go our way — including Bruce — need to remember the straight red card that wasn’t shown to Richardson and keep their mouth shut.
(7) Gerrard needn’t bother with taking dead balls when Adam is in the team.
(8) Suarez needn’t bother with taking penalties when Adam is in the team.
(9) While Lucas has improved immeasurably in the last year, he still gives away too many silly fouls. Curb that and he can be first choice in his position for years.
(10) We were never going to get 114 points. 84 remains a distinct possibility.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

well first chance i've got to be online since the game so most of what i say may have been said already but anyway...
Firstly - the atmosphere was great before kick off...was a real buzz of anticaption for the first game of the season.
We started brightly and whilst i don't want people to take this the wrong way...i didn't think we were as outstanding as many have made out....I felt we were on the verge of being outstanding if that makes sense...we played well, kept position, looked lively but whilst we were playing like this....we should have really killed the game - I felt if we'd got the 2nd goal it would have settled any nerves and then we would have really clicked into gear and just ****ted them...
however that 'click' into gear just never quite came.
WIthout a doubt Richardson should have gone - straight red no questions which would have made a major impact. - However in real time, i did feel suarez took too long to make his mind up and felt he could have slotted it home earlier....that said...once he rounded the keeper he would have scored anyway, but the hesitation allowed richardson back into play...
then the penalty = well we will leae that alone
But he did make up for it with his little glancing header.
But then the 2nd half...was just ****ing clueless all over the park....Poor flannagan had a stinker and whilst harsh, i felt he should have come off for Kelly because he looked like he was going to cost us big time...his arse went and he was giving it away and making poor mistakes.....I'm not being harsh on him - he's a young lad, who has done incredible so far and has a great future, but i really did worry he was going to cost us.
The midfield just disappeared....I said before the transfer window opened that i felt we needed a midfield destroyer...a mascher or sissoko type....We've not gone for one and on paper looking at the squad a thought mmm fair enough we look ok.....but my god did we need one on Saturday - we got totally over ran which forced the back four deeper and deeper. We need some pace in there, someone to steam round the park getting possession back and we don't have it.
Poor henderson struggled, again i am not kneejerking or having to much of a go, but he just struggled at times and i'm not sure what he is yet...is he a centre mid? a right mid?
For me we are desperate to get gerrard back fit and i wouldn't mind another striker with pace to change things when needed
That said...a lot of that is just disappointment due to how bad the 2nd half was after early promise.
There is a long way too go, and i just think saturday deflated us all and brought us back down to earth......However it's early days for a young and new side, and things will only get better as the players get used to each other.....positives, Downing and Enrique hopefully look to be the answer to sort our left side outi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Still cant quite believe he wasnt sent off for that.Originally posted by PTP View Post

We'd probably be talking about a 3 or 4 goal win if a ref had done his job properly (on more than one occasion aswell). Sickening.
