i'll be honest - i thought it would fly up to 100'000 in no time, given the usual 'strength' and show of support by the LFC 'internet terrorists'

Don't loose faith. Its up to over 27,000 and gaining almost 1,000 an hour which is actually quite impressive. With a bit of a push it might have achieved 100,000 in time for kick off against Arsenal.

To put this into context the only petition so far to exceed 100.000 was the knee jerk cut benefits to rioters. The next most popular, a petition sponsored by the Tory MP Robert Halfon for cheaper petrol and diesel, has so far attracted 50,000 signatories.
