Flannagan is nowhere near ready for the first team. He needs a loan spell.

He's been ok, he's still young and inexperienced so will make mistakes.

A loan move could be a good option at some point because if Johnson and Kelly stay fit he won't get many opportunities

The goalkeeper coach is very important when it comes down to scouting penalties and that sort of things. Since we changed our goalkeeper coach from the one we had when he signed for us he has been much worse.

I think that is the problem. We need to get in a good goalkeeper coach and he would start to save more penalties again.

He's made glaring errors in both games though, some people just hit the ground running, like Kelly. Flannagan seems to suffer from a lack of concentration and he's doing it in dangerous positions.

I'd seriously loan him out, he's well out of his depth and we can't take risks. The Carling Cup is one thing I suppose, but I would'nt let him near any other competition.

Carroll got a goal but still doesn’t look fully fit

I was a little disappointed that the midfield didn’t dominate the game to a greater extent Adam and Henderson in particular (as the more attacking players). I though Spearing did a decent job as the more defensive one and keeping things simple.

The defence did well Wilson did alot better and the two youngsters did well again. Skrtel was the one who let them down by giving the penalty away, that’s my problem with him, he does well for a while but then does that type of thing too often.

It's all part of learning though. It's like when I have a child i know it'll fall and hurt itself at some stage and if it doesn't I'll trip the ****er up occassionally to keep it on it toes.
