Conceding silly goals is not just restricted to us though. Manure, City and Chelsea were hardly miserly at the back yet Phil Jones is still lauded as the world's best. He looked bog average when a half-speed Arshavin bombed past him - should have finished. The ****.

Stewart Downing. Gutted for him.
How good, how totally great, would that goal have been, the pass from Suarez was as good a pass as you will see.....ever, imo, and Downing kept his eye on the ball superbly connecting well and helping it on it's way to the target, caught it well too.
Such a huge shame it was at the keeper, he almost caught it too well did Downing tbf.
He's looking good though.

True but I don't care about Manure, city or Chelsea - let them continue with the lapses, I just want to see us cut it outOriginally posted by BigChief View PostConceding silly goals is not just restricted to us though. It was a classic Carragher lapse that led to the goal. When Coates takes his place, as he surely must, we should see a lot less of such instancesOriginally posted by rcasemore View PostTrue but I don't care about Manure, city or Chelsea - let them continue with the lapses, I just want to see us cut it out

As in straight away?Originally posted by Redspin View PostIt was a classic Carragher lapse that led to the goal. When Coates takes his place, as he surely must, we should see a lot less of such instances
Are we talking of replacing Carragher with a 20 year old centre back, both new to the club and the country for the game against Stoke?

I doubt he'll come straight into the side - not just Carra that has had lapses at the back these past couple of seasons and it's something we need to cut out.Originally posted by Redspin View PostIt was a classic Carragher lapse that led to the goal.
