He'd be 27, same age as Downing. Not that old really, 5-6 years of good football left. If we are in the champions league next season we could have another big spending spree so I would never rule it out.

Downing is an exception to the rule.

Lavezzi at 27 would be too old for a player that never played in PL and given his evalution a very risky move, which I cannot see us going for it.

I like him but next year if we decide to spend big imo it will be on much younger player.

Mario Goetze is the one I wanted us to sign him this window. Unbelievable talent.

Mueller was already great in the last WC and he's only just about to turn 22.

Goetze, Kroos, Holtby and Schurrle are all going to be excellent.

Daniel Sturridge looks exciting he's young and english and so fits our preferences, He played very well for Bolton showing that when given regular games he is quality however i'm not sure we could give him regular games and so i don't think he would wangt to move unless we could guarentee this. He has been rumoured as a swap for Meireles but i would want him as well as keeping Raul! Don't see it happening but Lukaku's arrival might have pushed him further down the pecking order and you never know what could happen on the last day of the window!
