the way we started spurs was unnaceptable, and sunderland at home was rubbish. yes we beat arsenal but so will many other teams this year because they look well out of it so beating the gunners away from home isnt the result that some on here think it is.

ultimately with so many new signings the onus is on the manager especially with commolli saying this is a really well balanced squad etc... no one is saying that kennys clueless but the formation and the way we were set up defies belief.

i genuinely thought we had enough for fourth but im not so sure now because after 5 games theres huge issues that need addressing. we dont look anywhere near a top 4 team.
Maybe you shouldnt post things like "if we have any sort of champions league aspirations you need to pick up results away from home" if you're going to pick and choose which 3 points are worthwhile and which arent.

You made a daft point and got picked up on it, just move on instead of twisting yourself into an incoherent argument that doesnt hold water.

After 5 games, 3 of which were very difficult away games, we are 2 points off 4th place. Making judgements about top four after 5 games is daft enough in itself, but if you're going to do it, perhaps try to do it with some kind of appreciation of what's actually happening in the league table.

      Arse and Spurs, I'd assume.

Still in shock. Everyone got it wrong today from the management to Pepe Reina.

And ffs, if teams are going to play a high line against us and pressurise our defenders, we have to use it to our advantage as they'll be leaving gaps elsewhere. Redknapp uses the same ****in tactic over and over again.

Forgetting the Mancs every team has issues. We are above our main rivals for 4th so far, really dont get this crisis stuff.

That's not entirely true, he's been picked up on several daft points now

We need to be more aggressive in away games. It has been something like 2 years since we have overturned an opening goal against us to win an away match in the PL

                Is that true?

That is what one of the Norwegian commentators said today during the match

Come to think of it I can't remeber the last game we came behind to win at all.

In fairness, whilst that's obviously true, half of those 2 years was Hodgson's tenure, so it was never going to happen. And another year of it was Rafa's last season, when he was being screwed over by all and sundry above him, so his impact on things was being hampered somewhat.

I cant stand idiot refs who give bookings for things like that, and consequently put themselves in a difficult position for the rest of the game. Sheer idiocy.
got to agree. the ref was poor today.

Yes but the opposing teams know of the history of not being able to overturn a game. So they just come out all guns blazing and score the first goal

To be honest, i think all teams always try to score the first goal, regardless of any such stats
