Luckily I missed this as I was having sunday lunch for the Father-in-Laws birthday. I was gutted to miss it, but glad I did. Clearly it was a reality check. I still think we will make 4th though.

Seriously though (i know thats hard coming from me)
Spurs were coming into this game on the end of a thumping from city so it was a sure thing that they would come into this game and give it their all. We will bounce back from this and i'm sure we will finish 4th. This was their performance of the season.
After what Kenny said about the refs last week i wasn't at all surprised to see us getting punished one way or another.

I think we will too.
The worst part of this game for me was listening to a so called LFC 'supporter' behind me at the pub getting stuck into Kenny and every single bloody player when the third goal went in. I hate cunts like that. I reminded him we were down to 9 men and to take it like a man. Whinging prick.
Rant over.

Have to agree with this, Reina has not looked good for a while. He can be very sloppy and careless sometimes and tbh he looks like he's capable of a blunder in every game.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostI find Reina a strange one, I've never bought into he's world class, he just doesn't save enough goals where I think he should. He's a great character and a very good keeper and I wouldn't want another goalkeeper, but he's nowhere near the level of old red nose used to be. Even Friedel over the years has had games where nothing gets by him. 2 of the goals today where saveable if not the forth. Plus his first kick with his left today, set the tone. You can always tell when he's going to have an off day imo.
That is all. No witch hunt. Back to slating carroll, henderson, carra, adam etc
He persists on playing the ball out from the defence instead of whacking it forward to put pressure on the opposition which is what a keeper should be doing. He does sometimes have great visibility and can launch one out to the wing but these are few and far between. By playing it out to the defender it puts the defender under pressure and all it results in is our game being slowed, the defenders being isolated and then him kicking it up and out of play for a throw in to them which is pointless and makes us susceptible to attack again.
He looked shaky today and couldn't really be arsed, he had that look on his face. I love Reina, he is a legend but perhaps it's time to start looking for someone else to come in maybe as long term replacement.

Sloppy in defence, we currently have no reliable CBs. Skrtel had an absolute mare, I'm not sure he was the best option at RB.
Not tenacious enough in midfield; Lucas is definitely a good ball winner but in relatively contained positions, Hendo cannot tackle and Adam can't do so cleanly. Downing is alright defensively but overall our midfield didn't shoulder enough responsibility.
Inability to link up with others from Carroll. Suarez isolated and frustrated. We need to act better as a unit - we seriously lacked cohesion even with 11 men.
Ref was a long way from card shy, but the players should be wise to it. Idiotic sending offs meant we had next to no chance. Adam really let us down.
It was our inability to stamp our authority on the game and get possession that had us chasing shadows even before the first red.

I have calmed down a bit by now. Wrong team picked I can forgive that but Skrtel was getting horribly exposed and it was kk who should have made a change to either give him help or to pull him out of there. He was destined to get a red card from early on and he is never going to learn.
What annoyed me as well was the lack of response from the benches. There should have been changes at half time. There should at least have been a change early in the second half to bring some energy to our game. After the second red Carra was imploring the bench for a response and still nothing. All very disappointing.

For real? He was **** today for sure but tends to have one - that's one - **** game per season, and often early in the season too. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
