If Suarez and Carroll are our prefered front two (as it seems) they need games together, to develop some kind of understanding.

Brighton play Leeds at home 2 nights after our game, and Poyet has always maintained their league campaign is of much more importance than the Carling Cup. I dont think they will field their first XI.

If we cant beat their reserves with our reserves, then there's a problem.

I think we'll feature a very strong team with many of our first team players.

We are lacking confidence and desperately need a win before we face Wolves and I wouldn't be surprised if Kenny plays the similar line up he did against Exeter.

I remember a Guardian piece that suggested Rafa was playing Crouch in a 'deep lying ironic role' when he first came. That turned out okay - so maybe we should try a similar approach with Carroll.
