Not wishing to have a pop at Henderson, he isnt the issue here - but when Bellamy and Kuyt both played well in midweek and scored, their confidence will be high and they'll be chomping at the bit - so why drop them both to the bench in favour of Henderson?

I would have played Bellamy on the wing today to provide a service for Carroll

Bellamy couldnt do it even if Kenny wanted to by the sound of it.

"I have had seven knee operations in the last nine years and it is no secret that I struggle to play two games in a week because of my patella tendon.

"The physios went to see Mancini about it early in the week and he was great. He understood. Me playing two games in three days just wasn't going to happen."

            Agree on Dirk though.

Fair play with regards to Bellamy not playing twice in a week. Kuyt is established on the right though, offers balance, workrate, experience and a goal threat.

Nothing against Henderson, just think Kuyt would be a better fit and offer more. Hopefully Hendo scores and shuts me up

Carroll will at least be playing in his natural position and, in form or not, has the raw materials to always be a threat.

**** sake - stevie fockin wonder can see that hendo needs to be on the bench.....dirk should either be up top with luis or else on the right instead of he nendo......

                  - we play hendo, carroll against spurs and they are both a bag of ****e....
                  - they are dropped and bellamy / kuyt / maxi play well enough away to brighton....

so what happens next, the bag o ****e get straight back into the team for a league match.....

                  **** sake....

If Carroll doesn't do the business today I can see him on the bench for a prolonged period of time.

Henderson - I can't see why he keeps getting into the team ahead of Kuyt or Maxi. He isn't earning his place at all.

I guess we'll see if Henderson and Carroll deserve their places during and after the game, not before.

More of a threat than Kuyt playing up front with Suarez?

FWIW, I agree with your orginal post that Bellamy (on the right and Kuyt up front) should be playing ahead of Henderson (and Carroll).

Well, my Kuyt thinking was that i'd play him on the right, rather than upfront.
