Adam will start I'd imagine, I certainly agree that Kuyt should be starting, this is a massive game for us as obviously it's the Bitters but also we need to get a run going in the league and he's a big game player.

I think Carroll will start as well as he did pretty well last week but I'd prefer to see him up top and Suarez dropping deep and looking for him rather than how it was at Wolves.

Team I expect to line up on Saturday although probably with Suarez and Carroll up top in a 2 (prefer the 4-2-3-1 line up for what we have in the squad)

Was at the game on Sat and Spearing didn't do himself any favours warming up alongside Coates.

I think we might go defensive in this one. Either 3 at the back or 3 in the middle (A Mix of any Henderson, Lucas, Spearing, Adam). I worry for the clumsy tackling style of Adam and the card happy ref. Adam might be off again

i'm surprised so many people are talking about dropping adam, IF gerrard is unfit to start it would be suicidal to do so imo. there simply is nowhere near enough creativity in a midfield of lucas and spearing. I know a few others have touted the idea of henderson at centre mid, and while i reckon it was his better position at sunderland i don't think this is the game to start him there at liverpool. that leaves adam and lucas as the only possible pairing, sure the former may not be the best defensively but we need his passing ability or else we will struggle to score goals. i don't like the idea of any team starting with two holding midfielders, imo if u start that negatively thats the way the performance usually goes.

Creativity aside, its because Adam is proving to be hot headed and rash when harried. This game will make Spurs seem like Sunday tea round at Wendy Craig's house

Their facts need double-checking. We beat United at Anfield last season and didn't play Norwich.

I'd be tempted to start Spearing for this game, I reckon we need som hard working midfielders and he knows the derby well being a local lad. Kuyt should also get back in to the team to press Everton high and for his workrate.
