Adam was totally anonymous when it was 11 vs 11, and did nothing of note when 10 vs 11, apart for his shot against the bar. He's too much of a passenger.

Carroll wasn't all that good either, and it's a bit worrying that Kenny referred to him in the post-match interview as our best player. I just hope it's a psychological ploy, and not a genuine opinion.

Even at 10 vs 11 at times we were sitting too deep, afraid of being caught out against ten men, instead of putting our foot on their neck.

Bitter bottle and coin throwers = cunts. At least Suarez kept a cool head and didn't lob a coin back into the crowd.

Have to give credit to Skrtel too. Had my eye on him all game, and he came through with flying colours. If only he could do this consistently during a season.

TBF, he isn't as bad as some make out to be when played in his actual position. Had a decent season last season, then found himself out of the first team and out of position, couldn't have been easy for him.

Yep, that was precisely the reason why I listed Skrtel as my MOtM. He was constantly targeted (and picked on by that stupid ugly cunt Coleman) throughout the entire match, but never made a single mistake, won every header and in general stood solid like a concrete wall. He's shown us many times how good he can actually be, I just hope someone figures out how to get more performances like this out of him.

Skrtel was excellent. It was lucky for Carragher that they went down to 10 men because it forced Cahill to drop deep, and he (Cahill) was getting the best of it up to that point.

Very disappointed with his performance today.

Could not influence the game (except the strike) at all and failed to link up properly with our offense.

It is not good when Lucas had to take the ball distribution in his hands and started pushing forward and Adam moved back in his normal role.

As I said before he's the one Stevie will be looking to replace when fully fit.

He creates very little in attack. He gets in a couple of shots and a couple of good passes but that is below what you expect from a playmaker playing for us.

What I expect from our playmaker is that he should set the tempo, be able to boss the midfield and act as the attacking leader on the pitch. He should also be able to defend in a good way. In short, he should be as good as Xabi.

Adam isn't even close. His rubbish defending means that we can't dominate the games. We couldn't even do that 11 against 10.

His left foot may be worth £10m but his **** defending and average mentality takes away a lot of the millions from the £10m.

Squad player maybe but if we sign up a playmaker like Lucas then he wouldn't even be that.
