Imo he couldn't hit the target as he had to go back to the head the ball and I don't blame him for that miss at all. We blew so many chances before he came in and as it always happens in football those misses come and haunt you.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

While it wasn't an ideal position for him, it still wasn't a difficult chance amd I think you're beig generous mos. Still, you can't just look at one headed chance, Norwich could do the same when they had the chane to go 2-1 up.

              I don't think I am.

See his miss again if you have a chance and you will see how he was pushed at the last second just before he was about to head the ball. The push made him change the angle but it doesn't matter as you said it, there is no way that Carroll was the reason why we dropped 2 points there.

Yeah, cos Andy Carroll hasnt scored goals in the top flight, or anything...

And Gerrard doesnt have a record of scoring winners for us when we need them. Maybe if spearing had played, he could've been the holding mid instead of SG, who could've then actually played as an attacking midfielder, which happens to be what he's best at.

You can't say Carroll has a record of being a prolific scorer in the PL though.

For the short time he's played PL football, he has scored prolifically.

That's a fact. Which is why i can say it.

I don't think 11 goals in only 20 games, while impressive, is enough to count as a prolific record tbh. And his record for us has been worse.

Playing Adam instead of Jay was Kenny's biggest mistake against Norwich.

Carroll's first four months in the PL were excellent but apart from that there isn't much else on his CV I'm afraid.

Better than 1 in 2 isnt prolific?

Agree. Some of our best football last season came with Lucas and Spearing in the middle.

A player of his age should have a 10-15 year record of PL success.
