Downing needs to up his game (as a general criticism) and needs to turn up to this game. We're still miles better than WBA though and look like the home team.

Downing hasn't been good enough today, we're winning and comfortably but he's offered very little to the current scoreline

5.) Whilst conveniently ignoring the other two we should've had.

6.) He'll talk of 'big' teams getting decisions

Very positive start to the half. Which is very positive.

There's a world of difference between this though, and Downing is ****.

He hasn't been good today at all but some seem to revel in the opportunity of saying how he's **** cause of a poor 45 minutes.

Bring on Bellamy, he'll tear them to shreds with his pace.
                Are we winning?

That isn't what I was saying.

But the fundamental issue for me is this: I don't follow Liverpool so I can criticise the players (I don't suppose anyone does), I do it because I enjoy watching us play well and win. So when we're winning, what's the point? It's not like someone here is going to tell Downing at half-time what we might want him to do differently.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Nice play by Carroll, Downing and Enrique.

Well he did say positive twice. Oh no a double positive, that's a negative isn't it?

I was setting you up to say, "I'm positive."

I can't think of any aspect of life where people praise more than criticise, religion maybe. When you want a team to achieve, I'd say it's human nature to focus on the areas for improvement (ignoring the x is wank type comments, as everyone should). No point playing to the gallery and knocking people for it imo.

Comfortable save for Pepe from a long range shot.
