I would have serious concerns over that team selection against Chelsea away. For a start half the midfield is physically incapable of defending, since we are unlikely to have the majority of the possession that is a serious concern.

Question is which Chelsea team will we be up against .. key concerns are Mata so actually we should probally play Kuyt and also Ramires coming from deep

I think if we can manage a draw or all 3 points I'll be very happy, wouldn't be the end of the world losing this BUT it could be a good chance to kick start a winning run.

I honestly don't think there much of a gap between the two sides.

i'd conisder spearing again for this game (or something different) - purely because a 'flat' 4 that would consist of lucas/adam pairing in the middle frightens the life out of me even at the best of times - away to chelsea **** me

i've posted that side a lot recently as i honestly believe it's our 'best' side at present -

carra left out as i'm not sure where he stands on injury front

johnson cause he's a bit more 'attacking' and i feel kelly is more solid at the back

henderson, although slowly starting to find his feet, i feel a game like this is screaming for kuyts work rate/experience down the right however who knows, maybe henderson gets a look in at a more central role instead of one of spearing/adam

downing - just feel bellamy offers a lot more at the moment, looks more effective/confident.

carroll - can't find a place for him in that side -


however all those missing out do give us some good options from the bench...........

I'd play 433 to match their formation. Keep it tight and play Suarez on Terry - he'll mug him off at least once and score. Job done

Terry will not be able to handle Luis for 90 minutes and fingers crossed that the 4 he scored at the weekend means he's found his scoring boots again

ive only gone for lucas and hendo as chelsea will play with pace in the midfield IMO and we need to combat that by having henderson play centrally. lucas is a must so unfortunately its adam who must miss out as again IMO kyut is a must for this game too.
