I watched that second one accusingly a few times too but I don't think he was in a position to do much.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Watching the interviews on MotD II and you realise that AVB really is Jose Mourinho Lite in every way.

at the start of the season i thought chelsea might struggle a bit because AVB didnt have the right kind of talent at his disposal. His porto side were very very good but they were very young and mobile.

at chelsea he has several players who cannot play the way that he wants so for the time being they look all over the place. he has his own ideas about how he wants his teams to play and until he has the players they wont be able to achieve that. His defence was so far up it was madness. Luiz is quick but terry isnt and playing that far up the pitch without any midfield pressure on the ball is asking for trouble.

as for us, we should have finished the game in the first half. chelsea looked like a lame dog what was dying to be put out of its misery and indeed ive never seen a chelsea quite as toothless as that. really if we had been more clinical we could have been a couple of goals to the good.

i cant see abramovich firing AVB because he paid all that money to get him there in the first place but with him you never know.

        Rock on reds...

So so proud of the team today.

The winner from GJ was almost like watching a right-sided/footed John Barnes.....

Monday morning in the office gonna be good.

Missed the game today and just watched the highlights on MOTD2. Great result and fantastic composure from Glen Johnson for his goal, made it look easy and it really wasn't! We should gain confidence from this, we can beat anybody if we work hard and play as a team.

MOTD2 highlights were a disgrace... made it look like we were very lucky when the reality is we deserved that today. So much of our good play in the first half edited out...must have been a Chav fan.

It was unreal, we had a fantastic first 20 minutes and they showed nothing of it, looked like we were totally dominated

I think Luiz is a good defender but the problem is that he play together with Terry.

Get rid of Terry and replace him with a central defender that can play a high defensive line.

It is madness to play Terry in the system they play now. We used that weakness a lot against them.

They have the same problem we have/had. A legend that need to replaced. We have been able to do it. Will AVB get a fair chance to do it at Chelsea?

Luiz is a dire defender. Always good for at least one clanger of a mistake per game.

                        Good footballer, rubbish defender.

He is still miles better than Terry in the current system. The problem is that there is no way that AVB will be allowed to bench Terry, not a chance.

Bench Terry and he is finished IMO.

Will be interesting to see what Roman will do. Terry or AVB? I'm very sure that we will get the answer very soon because AVB know what he must do.

I don't think he's a better defender than Terry no matter what system they play
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

They could be playing Pro Evolution Soccer, and Terry would still be a better defender than him. Luiz, as an out and out defender, is a laughable joke of a liability.

Soon as i saw their lineup today, i said to the lad i went with how delighted i was to see Luiz starting. He's a ****e defender and if Suarez hadnt had an uncharacteristally below par game, he'd have got Luiz sent off. If any of them needs benching, it's Luiz, not Terry.

You're a bit obsessed with all this 'player power' ****e, all this nonsesne about managers 'not being allowed' to bench players. You were convinced Carra would walk back into the side today 'because he is carra' and Kenny wouldnt have 'the balls' to drop him.

Shown up to be pure tripe.
