Mock on happy clapper!Originally posted by Chris View PostHuh? No, I'm mocking you for coming on here after an excellent win at Chelsea to complain about how hopeless we were in the second half and how we are out of the title race. What do you get out of supporting us if even wins like this and the Derby make you utterly miserable?

hmmmmm i actually think we might beat citeh next week (those cunts have to lose soon)
the original poster is right to be happy about todays result - and performance!!
however, don't buy into the thoughts that everything is okay now.....we are 12 points off top spot - and in reality, we should be a max of 6 off top - probably should have beaten united too so maybe we should be 4 off top......
that said, it's a long fockin season......if we can beat City next week, then we have a few nice games where we can make hay...... also, chelsea, united, arsenal, spurs and city will all take points off each other too - the competitive league this year could mean it will be tight going into the last 3 or 4 games......
in my opinion, after xmas is when we might be able to really have a fockin good crack at it......the likes of city, united, chelsea, arsenal and spurs will all be playing european games midweek and we will be fresh.....
i really think we need gerrard to get fit and into form asap though - we need more goals and ruthlessness in front of goal....
also, if we get one or two additions in Jan - and they have the same type of impact as Suarez etc, then you never fockin know.....i'd like to see Cahill from Bolton and maybe a winger as well - i'd love to see someone like Hazard, Eriksen or Gotze but i doubt that will happen (especially mid-season) - maybe a player like Affelay from Barca on loan would be an option........

We are a work in progress and lets not forget that Kenny took us from the relegation zone to the brink of European qualification in just a few months last year.Originally posted by frank the tank View Posthmmmmm i actually think we might beat citeh next week (those cunts have to lose soon)

Does anyone Genuinely believe we were ever going to be title challangers this season?
You don't go from 7th & 6th to title challengers with a 40m net spend, it's impossible. Counting how many points we're off City is the most pointless of exercises. Top four has always been the target this year, and we're well in the hunt for that.

That's for next season and beyond though
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Sure did. Beat City next week and I'll convince myself it's back on.Originally posted by BringbackBiscan View PostDoes anyone Genuinely believe we were ever going to be title challangers this season?

The first August when I don't fancy us to take the title will mean I've given up on football. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I'll give you Spurs and we were freakishly beaten at Stoke when we'd have easily won.Originally posted by MrNice View PostMan Shaggy, Swansea are a bloody good side and as too are Norwich, **** happens, we got ****ed by Spurs and perhaps a couple of refereeing desiscion went against us that day. But by and large we have looked good whilst not always getting what we deserved ... the best defense with the best shots on on goal ... once the conversion rate clicks we could even give United a run for 2nd i think .. that back for look very composed now
But Swansea and Norwich are not 'bloody good', not in any way, shape or form.
We're deluding ourselves if we pretend 2 points against those two at home isnt dreadfully poor. However, we've offset those dropped points somewhat with wins away at Chelsea and Arsenal, which is nice.
We still need to prove ourselves at home though. I think it'll come.
Honestly dont think it's luck - we hit the woodwork because we've missed the target. Likewise, consistently dropping home points against dross isnt bad luck, it's bad play. Luck is when it happens the odd time, not when it happens the majority of the time. As i say, hopefully we'll improve on it and i think we will - then, the dropped points will be the exception to the rule and you can partly put it down to luck.Originally posted by MrNice View Post
I think we have hit the woodwork more than any team in the lg

4 point dropped in the games against Norwich and Swansea were very poor and mean we've picked up more points away from home than at home (12 points away, 10 points at home). The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
