Downing, Carroll , Gerrard ( he should start he needs to find fitness what better fixture than one with Chelsea who most likely will be treating it the same as I am suggesting ) Why not throw Sterling on ... the football world has been raving about him, Kenny showed how succesful he was last season using the youth talent and I think he counts as Dangerous

Absolutely go with the same team against Man City.

But when the Carling Cup game comes around you can't see Bellamy and Maxi playing 2 games in 3 days, so we'll definately be making a few changes for that one.

i have mentioned sterling before on here but was told too young........ downing not shown any of his villa form .....carroll i would start but ..gerrard we know what he can do but ......i wouldn't use the word dangerous on current form!

I'd play this side, provided everyone is fit, specially Gerrard. Possibly add Lucas to the mix and move Henderson in place of Kuyt or Gerrard. We should use the squad to the fullest for this one.

It's an interesting one, we have to be looking to win but on the other hand for our long term good some of our younger players have to get chances in these cup games. I'd look to be having perhaps 3 younger players in the team or at least planning to bring them on from the bench.

I'd really like Coates to start. Although there is certainly an argument for keeping Agger and Skrtel together to continue their progress as a partnership.
