One of the best things about having Kenny back in charge is no-one has a clue what side he will pick against City.
My hunch is he will start Carroll, he destroyed them half fit at Anfield last season and they will be wary of him.
Also can't see him sticking with Maxi on the left as Micah Richards bombs up and down all game, think he will bring Downing back in to track him back, or maybe ask Bellamy to do it.

i would like to see us put out our strongest possible team to be perfectly honest - for a few reasons:

1. It's a trophy - and we need to win a trophy soon. Also, LFC have never played at the new wembley which is overdue.
2. Winning big games creates an air of confidence - i actually think if we go back there and beat them again, it would be great. If we keep a clean sheet, even fockin better.
3. Yes we will have a game on the Tues night, but in reality, we have a week before the City game, and won't play again until the Monday afterwards (away @ fulham) - so there shouldn't really be an issue playing twice in 52hrs....
4. Chelsea are on the ropes - it would be nice to really fock them up with another defeat at home!! That could fock them up big time in their league form as well......which is good for us. Whereas if they put 3 or 4 past a LFC reserve side, then we could be helping them generate confidence.....
5. If we get into the semi final, then that is another 2 games in Jan. Why is this important? Well the FA Cup 3rd round will also be in Jan - let's say we can drag the arse out of the Suarez / Evra thing for a couple of weeks (maybe with an appeal thrown in there somewhere) - if Luis got, say, a 6 game ban, then i wouldn't fockin mind so much if 3 of those games were the FA Cup 3rd rounder, and 2 semi's of the Carling Cup......would be a lot worse losing him for 6 league matches..... so i actually think, our league form could drastically improve if we win this game!!!
