I think 5 players I 100% do not want to see on the starting 11,

1. Suarez, he looked tired 2nd half against City, the guy needs a rest.
2. Agger, most underated player at Liverpool, he plays we win or do not lose, lets not risk him.
3. Kuyt, we need to manage him this season
4. Johnson, Really coming good, Kelly is fantastic alternative who deserves game time
5. Enrique, again give a guy a break Aurellio is a very strong back up who should get games in ones such as these

We need some decent back up for Lucas. It's hard to see a decent centre mid we can put out whilst resting Lucas & Adam.

Who can you bring in though that won't be starting often?

Lucas doesn't miss many games, so I imagine it would be very hard to find a better player than Jay who'd be happy to sit on the bench almost every game.

I can see Lucas playing this game, with Jay allowing Adam a rest.

If we play 4231 he'd be the middle of the 3 so kinda in the hole which is where he does his best work.

His 1 goal in 7 or 8 games for Rochdale has certainly fired him up the pecking order

I think he's probably best as a CM perhaps you'd be looking for some help for him with Maxi and Bellamy but not a bad chance to see what he can do + I really think Adam/Lucas need a rest

A rest for at least one of Adam and Lucas would be welcome I think. Not sure we could afford to rest both. I'd like to see how Henderson fared alongside Lucas - It could be a useful options especially when chasing games late on.

I also might put Downing ahead of the CM duo with Maxi and Bellamy wide. I think he would do well to see some different options - at the minute he stays too wide and it makes him predictable and takes away from Enriques attacking forays.

In general though I would like to see us try to play a team that we would be happy putting out in the PL. I don't want to see too many changes from the players that played against City and Chelsea in the league.

Think its a massive ask for anybody who played on sunday (bar Reina) to play again tomorrow, that was probably the most intense game physically and mentally we'll have all season.

Wouldnt blame Kenny for changing the whole team, we've been stitched up here, will have to try and make the best of it but its far from ideal and still cant quite believe we've been put in this position ahead of a Cup QF.

City looked exhausted in the second half yesterday and they played tuesday - sunday!
